Mass Effect: Andromeda - EA/Origin Access trial coming March 16th - 10 hour trial

Sorry if this has been asked already, but I'm still a bit confused about this trial. For those of us who have already pre-ordered the game, do we just get permanent early access as of the 16th or do we only get 10 hours and have to wait until release day to play some more?

The 10 hour trial is only for EA Access members. It has nothing to do with pre-orders.

It's the same thing they let Access members do with every game, not just exclusive to ME or any pre-order promotion.

Sorry, I forgot to add the part about EA Access members too. So if I've preordered and I'm an EA Access member, I still only get 10 hours, right?

Yep. Once you hit the 10 hour limit, you'll have to wait like everyone else.

It's a bit shit, I know.

Oh, I thought free trial was different from early access wherein free trial is the 10 hour trial that all EA/Origin Access members get but if you have pre ordered the game then you get early access to entire game a week before actual launch.

Where are you getting this information though?

Are you just assuming it's that way because BF1 was?

Yeah doesn't show up for me.

Yeah it's not like that but it would be pretty smart by them to do so.

Long weekend ahead and I'm pissed I only get 10 hours :P

Yep, I don't see it.

I guess people who has preordered it can preload it... But if you didn't preordered it, you have to wait until it unlocks for Origin Access members to download it.

I'm hoping the extra time I get in through this trial will mean I finish the SP faster, and thus don't give up when Persona 5 graces my doorstep. I doubt it will help much honestly.

I also hope this game isn't as "filled with filler" nonsense like the Hinterlands. I can't stop doing content like that, and it burns me out on these games quick.

Anyone remember how long the main questlines were in the previous games? Any chance to finish Andromeda in 10 hours while skipping cutscenes and side quests?

Have the pre-load ready on Xbox One, hopefully there's no weird issues and I'll just be able to click on that tomorrow and be on with it.

I have pre ordered it, I also have Origin access. I don't see the trial anywhere and it says that the game will pre load on the 17th and the unlock on the 23rd.

For those on PC, if you go to free games > scroll to trials > learn more > scroll to the bottom you'll see the ea access trials page. Click on that and it'll show you Andromeda but you can't do anything with it right now. Once it unlocks you should be able to download it from that page.

I've preordered it, am an EA Access member and I can't get that to show up. The info I see says:

Windows pre-load date: March 18, 2017 1:00 AM CST
Windows release date: March 20, 2017 11:00 PM CST

I'm in SEA.

Are you sure you're on the "Play First Trials" section of Origin Access tab? Because if you go on the actual store game page, you will not see anything Origin Access related.

EDIT: I'm on PC, by the way.

Why would you even play Mass Effect by skipping cutscenes? They're like half the reason to enjoy the games. Do you play this just for the combat?

When I click on learn more it just takes me to the store page. I realize it says available March 16th, but some people are able to preload today and they have a different page saying that.

I was kind of surprised that on PS4 my pre-order is completely downloaded and installed already, but this morning I couldn't do the same on my xbox for EA access

Midnight would be awesome. I'll definitely try it out then. I wonder if that means The Netherlands too. I just checked EA Access and it says coming soon. But as soon as it's downloadable it will be playable?

Looks like origin was letting people add the Trial early afew days ago but if you preorder the game it would actively remove the trail from your game library. There are afew threads on the EAHelp site talking about it. The EA community manager interacting with it says that the moment its unlocked it will either auto populate back in your library or you'll have to go back to the storefront and click on the trial again.

Does anyone know what happens if you want to play the 10 hours on both PC and X1 ? Do you still get 10 hours each so a total of 20 hours?

I have an XBox 1 and a PC, signed up for the month at PC origin access for the 10 hour trial - but wondered if I could do the same for X1 (paying for another month of the xbox version of ea access)

If it's separate accounts you get 10 hours on both.

If I already have Origin access, how can I get into it on Xbox One? As it is asking for my Microsoft ID? But I am signed up to it via my Yahoo account on the PC?

So the preload will be up when the trial starts if you didn't preorder? I'm thinking I might spend the 5 bucks and treat it like a demo.
