Mass Effect site + trailer

I hope it's just as cool as the KOTOR games because those games bored me into a coma.

edit; well... it looks awesome, but that wasn't my problem with KOTOR either.
I'll just have to wait for more (gameplay) material.

No crap. The screenshots were from the trailer, but they looked tons better in motion. Kinda seemed reminiscent of Star Wars..

This is no way a slight against you, your comment or your posting history, but for some reason when you wrote this and I read your title I imagined you rubbing your hands together and receiving 50 cents in the mail. And I lol'ed, god help me ;)

Anyway, this looks REALLY good. Very pleased with this, mmm mmm. Xbox 360 purchase is now inevitable.

Middle of nowhere? Its the capital city of Alberta, pretty much smack dab in the middle of the province. As for the cold, yea it's cold here during winter, and conversely extremely hot during the summer, we get the full spectrum.
 
what's wrong with the screens exactly ? they look better than the ff7 tech demo everyone was raving about 6 months ago. I didn't expect the first Bioware next-gen RPG to look that good, it's easily on par with all the action games we've seen so far which is impressive for a RPG.

don't compare it to FF7 demo, that demo was made in a month and half.

Uhh...

I haven't seen the trailer yet, but since you were strictly talking about the screens: Nothing in there is on the same scale as the FFVII tech demo.
 
I'm on an ultra-slow connection. Otherwise, I'd download that now. I'll have to wait until I get to school tomorrow.

Oh, and sorry for whatever I did to get banned. I get a little carried away sometimes.
 
its all in the animation, and the animation looked great! thanks for the non flash version, it has downloadable links for all sizes
 
The game looks stunning. Definitely what I would expect out of Bioware. It seems like Western RPG's are what are going to get me to buy a 360. First Oblivion and now Mass Effect.
 
someone from bioware said that it would be 12 to 18 months before this game comes out. So for anyone who is a little worried about the graphics not being up to snuff, 12 months let alone 18 months is a lot of time for the graphics to improve quit a bit.
 
Geoff Keighley reporting from X05 on Attack of the Show on G4 says that Bioware confirmed that everything you see in the trailer is realtime.
 
I loved KOTOR but didn't bother with Jade Empire because of the setting. This on the other hand I totally dig.

Only thing I don't like is the name, Mass Effect. Meh, guess I'll get used to it.
 
YES. Now THAT was impressive. And I loved Kotor 1. What killed bioware for me was the fact that they made me have to restard the damn thing because the morrrrrrons who checked over the game did not figure out one of the biggest glitches in gaming history (the save glitch). Anyway, this, graphically, is extrememly impressive and honestly the best thing iv seen out of the x360. I especially liked the detail in that monster character's dangling cheeks (they move when he moves). nice physics. :)
 
Short but sweet trailer. Bioware sci-fi not attached to Star Wars...potentially awesome.

[that hunch-backed alien with the gun reminds me of the big lumbering Fifth Element aliens during the Egypt opening sequence, only this one is on Slim-fast]
