Damn... with all the talk of that asteroid (possibly, maybe, not likely) to hit Earth in 2029, I wake up today and flick on CNN to see tsunamis hitting Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India... for a second my sleepy mind thought "no, it DIDN'T happen, did it?!"

Haven't seen any direct Deep Impact-style footage, but there IS some video of what looks to be the direct aftermath of one, with a metre of water rushing rapidly through a beach area.

A number of people were reported drowned on the African coast and nine were missing in the Seychelles.
