Holy shit. Why were they laughing before the 3rd explosion?
Laughter and joke tend to have an effect on calming people down. Some people just does it without noticing it during crisis.
Holy shit. Why were they laughing before the 3rd explosion?
CNN said:According to the Tianjin Tanggu Environmental Monitoring Station, hazardous chemicals stored by the company concerned include sodium cyanide (NaCN), toluene diisocyanate (TDI) and calcium carbide (CaC2), all of which pose direct threats to human health on contact. NaCN in particular is highly toxic. Ca(C2) and TDI react violently with water and reactive chemicals, with risk of explosion. This will present a challenge for firefighting and, with rain forecast for tomorrow, is a major hazard," Greenpeace said.
Fucking morons laughing at other people getting hurt until it got "real" for them too. Then they started running.
i would. anyone with an ounce of empathy would not laugh. foh
being stupid would be the best case scenario
Those watching seem to be having a good sense of humor with it.
Shit SHIT SHIIT.
Okay the chemicals that detonated are NOT gonna make this easy on recovery for those that missed it.
"With rain forcasted for tomorrow"...
Oh shit.
Ok I see, it seems such a small figure though for such big explosion, imagine that one of Halifax! The 21 tons figure comes from seismological monitoring stations.
Why is the government trying to hide this as best they can? Embarrassment or What? I don't understand. Can you imagine if the US tried to cover something like this. It was an accident man!!

A combination. Mostly laughter from disbelief.Laughter and joke tend to have an effect on calming people down. Some people just does it without noticing it during crisis.
I actually started laughing in the ER directly after my my bad car wreck back in May. People probably thought I was crazyClearly none of you have much experience around people in high stress, dangerous and/or scary situations. This is basic human psychology.
It's a good coping mechanism. I'm known for doing it.I actually started laughing in the ER directly after my my bad car wreck back in May. People probably thought I was crazy
From what I've heard it may have been the water they were using to try to put out the fire that caused the first explosion by reacting with certain chemicals.
Also
Damn, that's messed up. Poor guysThere was a fire before the explosions, rescue teams already were on the scene for that. Further news was that it was a chemical fire, something that was not known til hours later, they did what firefighters and first responders are trained to. All they knew was it was flammable/explosive.
They sadly switched to flame retardant instead of water after the explosions. (Pink stuff you might see in some pictures)
If the firefighters really didn't know how dangerous those chemicals actually were the government could be blamed for that. I mean that's information all the fire departments should have. Why is the government trying to hide this as best they can? Embarrassment or What? I don't understand. sister of one confirmed dead fireman, posted photos from the day he went to the fire department just one year ago. They seem so happy in the photo... and so young... damn...
where did you get the impression that they are hiding? not to say they are not but what gives away?
to answer your question, they have a habit of covering truth because officials has out dated concept of losing face...

cant stop watching it, the power... unreal
so sad...
Unfortunately it means pretty much exactly that.Man, I can't believe that the Hiroshima bomb was 1000x bigger than this (or something like that). I can't even imagine an explosion 1000x this. I mean, 1000x stronger doesn't mean 1000x larger, right?

The Tsar Bomba fireball was 8km in diameter.
Total destruction zone was 70km in diameter.
Uncomprehensible.

44 dead
44 as in 4400? Or 44k?
The factory had a dorm there, a volkswagen factory next to it where the alloy rims melted (with a dorm too) and habitations next to it.
If a city has less than 100 or 50 (I forgot) casualties, there is no need for official report.
3 years ago around 10,000 people protested when they built that factory because of the nature of chemicals they planned to use, officials then claimed that they would just use it as a regular assembly factory to calm the population living there.
Anyway, China.

~700,000,000m2 or 700,000km2.

China government will lie about it of course. No way that size explosion and only 44 dead... Hoping that is true however.
This is why mega cities will not work in china.
Has 4chan ever delivered? I think you're being a realist if anything. They're trolls, all of them.
And miles above ground
I read on another board (which could be just somebody talking out of his ass so take it with a boatload of salt), that none of the chemicals listed as supposedly stored there could lead to supersonic explosions. So it's possible they were storing a lot of illegal shit and that means the government didn't know or didn't care (or got something something on the side). This is something you generally don't want to get out in the open, especially as an authoritarian state. Why is the government trying to hide this as best they can? Embarrassment or What? Yes, it's also a misleading one, as the "bars" of the bar graph grow in two dimensions, whereas only one of them is relevant w.r.t. the explosive force of the bombs. That's kind of a weird graph.
