Who have we got left to go? Danny Alexander and Charles Kennedy are the big two that come to mind.
He's gone mate

The Union surely can't survive this, right?
That was Dougie Alexander. He's gone mate

Kennedy's gone too. Orkney and Edinburgh South (basically on the back of the Labour MP being instrument in saving Hearts FC) are the only two seats in question, maybe Mundell and other borders seats (I don't anything about those)
All I want now is for Ed Balls and Nick Clegg to get the boot. Then I'm off to bed.
He has the cadence of a priest (I don't necessarily mean that as a bad thing).Murphy strikes me as quite genuine here. Maybe it's just a well prepared script.
I think that's Douglas Alexander who's gone. No news on Danny (that I've seen) yet.
Edit: latedont worry Quiche - it's 3:30 am

The handful of speeches I've heard by departing Labour MPs in Scotland have all been polite, gracious, forward thinking.
More of that a year ago could have helped.
Who??
Oh, maybe I'm confused
Lib Dem lost deposits now up to £29k.

Becoming an SNP candidate in Scotland was a pretty easy route into a £70k a year job. I fell like I've missed a trick somewhere.
Ditto I think. Well, I want Nick to stay, but I'll stay up for the results. Any idea when they're expected?
Ooh, and I'm interested in Bradford West.
I think Cameron makes a fairly decent PM. I hope he realises what has happened in Scotland and actually makes good on devo max.
Balls' constituency is very close to coming in, apparently. Not looking good for him. No idea about Hallam.
Heh, I can't imagine any party will want to deal with the Torys after seeing what happened to the Lib Dems.Nicola just reiterated she won't do a deal with Cameron.

My BBC Scotland feed is completely, utterly dead![]()
Now sit down and actually think about what you're saying. Suppose that Labour decides to try and attack the Conservatives about the cause and solution to the recession. People don't actually listen to political parties. About one in twenty people pays more than the most passing attention to politics. The rest take it in through secondary sources, often without applying a critical filter. Those secondary sources are the Sun, the Daily Mail, the Daily Herald, and so on. That means Labour has to try and get these arguments through those sources. That's never going to happen. Ever.
Miliband had the right ideas. He had great ideas. He did attack the Conservatives about the cause of the recession early on, before realizing how pointless it was. Criticizing him about that is just wrong, and unfair to him. Labour won't win until they win the press.
The way that the SNP talks about the Tories one would have assumed that the Conservative party had invaded and set the entire country to the torch. I don't think I'll ever understand it.
Lib Dems now relegated to "Others" status on the BBC homepage:

so your view is, labour will never win.

Who was the Scottish Labour fella who gave the speech on BBC, to an SNP loss? Shame he didn't win, as I feel he could have been a good Labour leader.
Dodds wins North Belfast. Sinn Fein also ran a sectarian campaign, but the DUP are homophobes, xenophobes, misyognist etc
Tim Farron holds his seat. Wasn't he tipped as a possible Lib Dem leader?
No. Labour certainly can win, they just have to suck up to the press.
