Sounds like Ed's leaving tomorrow. Who will replace him, I wonder? Surely not Ed Balls, since a) everyone fucking detests him and b) he'll then be tarnished by Brown and Miliband. I mean, it's not like he's made of rubber. He's made of shit. Shitty balls.

Ed Balls is now apparently odds on to lose his seat.

My money's on Burnham.

How the hell has he lost the election already?

So who replaces Ed Milliband? Surely he cannot stay? Frankly, I was one of those who thought he should of be gone before the election.

I really hope Vince Cable gets the bullet. He has been dining out on "I predicted the banking crash" for years and totally fucked the RM sale.

Even IF we got a referendum there will be a grotesque media blitz the likes of which this country has never seen. Every time a kipper sticks his head out over the parapet he'll get bombed and strafed like a panzer division during overlord.

It would be weird having 95% of the politicians campaigning for the same thing.

It will not happen though. It will go like the Scottish ref - with EU offering a load of concessions. It is just to be hoped that the EU don't leave it until the last minute like westminster did.

Andy Burnham would be a great leader IMO, but they do need to understand what's gone wrong here... And I'm not sure any of them do.

Almost certainly Andy Burnham. Ed Balls can't contest, David Miliband's career is basically over as of last time, Chuka and Tristram aren't ready yet. Burnham's closest competition is probably going to be Sadiq Khan.

If Ed Miliband resigns, there's always a possibility that a Labour/SNP coalition could arise from it. Maybe.

This act of democracy is looking more like anarchy as the night goes on.

Labour would need to find another 10-15 seat. They ain't getting that.

With Murphy gone, is it time to switch to the national BBC coverage? Or should I wait for all of Glasgow....

Either way, my glass needs a refill...
