May Wrasslin' |OT| Dontaku about Legit Shook

Some legit shook wwe commenters

Derek Stacey
Natalya should of reversed the Black Widow hold from AJ, considering she's a submission specialist who is also trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, still in shock that she didn't counter it.

Fav Five? Fav Five!

1. Adam Cole
2. Shinsuke Nakamura
3. Volador Jr.
4. Titan
5. Daniel Bryan
5b. Dean Ambrose

Haven't seen Titan for a while - is he still doing awesome shit? I assume so.

I forgot to mention that Misu really needs a new theme. A tough guy heel should not be coming to the ring to...whatever that is.

I agree, it's pretty weird, but I'm fully on board the Kaze Ni Nare train now and I believe that the lyrics kinda fit Suzuki - something about 'in face of the storm, be like the wind' and 'I must be a lonely warrior tonight'.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZHi9UNwNqg

Also, isn't it even more of a testament to Suzuki's ultimate badassery that he can come out to such an atypical theme song?

If you can't come out to some Sega-sounding wicked funky ass track you're not a true badass.

Yeah, it's really hard to match up to AJPW theme music though, and Thunder Storm is pretty much my favourite theme song ever.

Other greats;

Stan Hansen - Sunrise;

Misawa - Spartan-X;

Akira Taue - Eclipse;

Also, gotta love the SUPER FUNKY amalgamated Jumbo Tsurata/Genichiro Tenryu theme;

AR Fox vs EITA should be great, and Gargano vs Tomahawk, too. Probably only going to grab one of these shows, neither card announced so far seems like a must buy, so I'll wait to see which of the triple shot shows looks the best and get that one on iPPV.

That's the way Evolve weekends usually go. If you could cherry pick the best matches out of any of the cards, you might come up with a full show on a good weekend. They can have a lot of filler and matches that are good but not must see.....and every show has at least that one match that is must see.

Normally yes but I think this weekend looks way more stacked. My buddy is copromoting the first two shows and put in a little extra money for talent. I don't really see much in the way of fluff on these cards. It's nice to see Eita and Tomahawk coming as well.

I know it's all "IWC guy thinking he can be a booker", but if I can see some very basic problems and the very basic solutions, why can't Vince, with all his experience?

Dude's making more money now than he has in a great long while. That validates your business decisions more than some Internet jackasses chanting 'BORING' at your house shows.

4. Daniel Bryan The crowd react superbly for Bryan, he's ridiculously over and the only danger now is with WWE dropping the ball.

I'm firmly convinced it's impossible. DBry could walk out to the ring dressed like a girl, spouting liberal propaganda in Corpus Christie and get a face pop somehow.

Bo Dallas - he's funny looking. Also, I don't like the attempt to leech popularity from Neville for Bo's benefit. I don't think he'll ever be anything in the WWE other than another Ted Jr.

I've tried to defend this guy in my mind on the assumption that you guys were overreacting to a mediocre performer, but after watching him in NXT for several weeks, he just sucks. I can't get over how bad yet how pushed he is.

I feel bad Cesaro isn't on my list, or Big E, as they're both treats.

Look on the bright side: wrestling (even within the WWE itself) has gotten so good you wish your Top 5 list could be longer. Hope for the future.

Top 5:
1) DBry - Why not?
2) Cesaro - Even jobbing, he's better than most
3) Adrian Neville - Standing Shooting Star Press?!
4) BWyatt - Great character, really enjoying him in NXT
5) Shield - Their plot is meandering and they have the same match every other week, but they make it good

Those two, Brian Cage and Tommy Taylor really help the weekend. If I'm still in the area, I plan on going to that June 1st show. I am holding off on buying tickets because I'm waiting to hear back from my interview next week. If I get the job, I likely won't be going and will need to put everything towards moving to TN.

I think it will be well-deserved. It'll be nice to have a record holder in wrestling who hasn't pissed on his legacy.

I don't know, he has Flairs uncanny ability to be divorced for being a shitty husband. Who knows how much he fucked up Spirit Squad Kennys life by fucking Mickie James. Class Act there children, class act.

How many times has Cena gotten divorced? Not even compared to Flair, either. I wanna see the receipts.

So...

1. AA
2. STF
3. 5 Knuckle Shuffle
4. Dumb back drop thing

What about sloppy shoulder block, terrible fisherman's suplex, and dangerous top rope leg drop?

He just came back, had a nice showing that he still ahs it and he's going to be in BoSJ next month. Should be fun. He'll only get 4 points, but still, should produce some fun matches for him

Cena only has 4 moves of doom.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FiveMovesOfDoom

John Cena's sequence: Flying shoulderblock, sitout hip toss, side-release spinout powerbomb, Five Knuckle Shuffle (fistdrop), Attitude Adjustment (Fireman's Carry Takeover). Cena has the honor of being the first, and so far only, wrestler to openly refer to his sequence as the Five Moves of Doom in his promos. He's since added the STFU ( STS crossface combo) to the end of the sequence, making it his Six Moves of Doom.

WWE's titles today basically equate to WWF's European Title in the 90's.

I think I'm going all NJPW with just WWE PPV's here and there. Sunflower, Aiii, Bootaay, and Falling Edge's recommendation of NJPW has sold me on their product. Shit is top tier.

OOOOOOHHHH YEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH! NewJapanGAF is growin' like wildfire! We can't be stopped!

When did Aiii join NewJapanGAF though? I thought AJPW would be more his style.

Anyway:

Fave Five!

1) Prince Devitt - I've always liked the guy but I've loved everything about his heel turn. The man is awesome and I'd love to see him move up to the heavyweight division like Bootaaay suggested.

2) Kazuchika Okada - He doesn't have the same kind of aura Tanahashi has but he's improving so insanely fast, I've no doubt he'll grow into the role relatively soon. Dude is amazing and he's only 25.

3) Shinsuke Nakamura - The modern day Randy Savage. Brilliant in and out of the ring and elevates his Intercontinental title to a height it'll probably never reach again.

4) Bully Ray - It's amazing how much he's improved over the last few years. And while the A&8s storyline is still pretty bad, he has resurrected it enough to get some sort of interest in it. It's such a pity that TNA can't book faces properly because if they could, they could've had a strong James Storm or even Austin Aries to challenge him, instead of Sting (who can at least still wrestle decently) and fucking Hulk Hogan (who can barely walk).

5) Katsuyori Shibata - Fantastic worker and I love his story with Goto. He really, really needs to come out of this feud victorious and main event with Okada.

Honourable Mentions!

Shelton Benjamin - Loved his match with Nakamura. And while there was one botch in the match, it was Nakamura's fault and the cameramen (and presumably the commentators) recovered pretty well, focusing on his knee.

Bad Influence - Always entertaining. Whether it was trying to undermine Austin Aries to get Bobby Roode on their side or suggesting to James Storm that he should join them, Kaz and Daniels are fucking awesome. One of the five reasons why I watch Impact.

I agree, it's pretty weird, but I'm fully on board the Kaze Ni Nare train now and I believe that the lyrics kinda fit Suzuki - something about 'in face of the storm, be like the wind' and 'I must be a lonely warrior tonight'.

Boo to the both of you. Kaze Ni Nare is amazing.

So I mentioned this in the fitness thread but my goal physique to achieve by summer of next year is one of Hiroshi Tanahashi. I'm pretty sure I can achieve it as he seems the most like my current body type. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

FAV 5

1) Kazuchika Okada
2) Hiroshi Tanahashi
3) Michael Elgin
4) Mr. Touchdown
5) Daniel Bryan

I like the cut of your gib.

So not worth it
Ziggler was live roasting Raw btw, hence the harsh tone in those tweets.

Oh, and I think AJ and Dolph could be legit dating.

The first round show takes place in the afternoon, the finals in the evening;

http://www.chikarapro.com/events.php

I'm guessing it'll be Pieces of Hate vs The Devastation Corporation, Lovelace & Saturyne vs Zero Gravity, The Colony vs The Young Bucks & The Colony: Xtreme Force vs The Batiri, then The Devastation Corporation vs Lovelace & Saturyne & The Young Bucks vs The Batiri, Devastation Corporation vs The Young Bucks in the final.
I can't wait for the weekend. I won't be going to the afternoon show because my buddy is taking me to a Cubs game (finally get to see Wrigley) but I will be attending the evening show that could result in the space time continuum bring reset if Archibald Peck eats a Backfist to the Future. my picks for the tournament are.

1st round winners
Pieces of Hate
Devastation Corporation
Team Girl Power
Zero Gravity
Los Ice Creams
Baltic Siege
Xtreme Force
Bravado Brothers

2nd round
Girl Power over Pieces of Hate
Devastation Corporation over Zero Gravity
Xtreme Force over Ice Creams
Siege over Bravados

3rd round
Girl Power over Xtreme Force
Devastation Corporation over Siege

Finals
Devastation Corporation over Girl Power

Bonus Grand Championship prediction

Archibald Peck over Eddie Kingston to become the new CHIKARA Grand Champion!
