WWE's titles today basically equate to WWF's European Title in the 90's.
I think I'm going all NJPW with just WWE PPV's here and there. Sunflower, Aiii, Bootaay, and Falling Edge's recommendation of NJPW has sold me on their product. Shit is top tier.
OOOOOOHHHH YEEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH! NewJapanGAF is growin' like wildfire! We can't be stopped!
When did Aiii join NewJapanGAF though? I thought AJPW would be more his style.
Anyway:
Fave Five!
1) Prince Devitt - I've always liked the guy but I've loved everything about his heel turn. The man is awesome and I'd love to see him move up to the heavyweight division like Bootaaay suggested.
2) Kazuchika Okada - He doesn't have the same kind of aura Tanahashi has but he's improving so insanely fast, I've no doubt he'll grow into the role relatively soon. Dude is amazing and he's only 25.
3) Shinsuke Nakamura - The modern day Randy Savage. Brilliant in and out of the ring and elevates his Intercontinental title to a height it'll probably never reach again.
4) Bully Ray - It's amazing how much he's improved over the last few years. And while the A&8s storyline is still pretty bad, he has resurrected it enough to get some sort of interest in it. It's such a pity that TNA can't book faces properly because if they could, they could've had a strong James Storm or even Austin Aries to challenge him, instead of Sting (who can at least still wrestle decently) and fucking Hulk Hogan (who can barely walk).
5) Katsuyori Shibata - Fantastic worker and I love his story with Goto. He really, really needs to come out of this feud victorious and main event with Okada.
Honourable Mentions!
Shelton Benjamin - Loved his match with Nakamura. And while there was one botch in the match, it was Nakamura's fault and the cameramen (and presumably the commentators) recovered pretty well, focusing on his knee.
Bad Influence - Always entertaining. Whether it was trying to undermine Austin Aries to get Bobby Roode on their side or suggesting to James Storm that he should join them, Kaz and Daniels are fucking awesome. One of the five reasons why I watch Impact.
I agree, it's pretty weird, but I'm fully on board the Kaze Ni Nare train now and I believe that the lyrics kinda fit Suzuki - something about 'in face of the storm, be like the wind' and 'I must be a lonely warrior tonight'.

Also, isn't it even more of a testament to Suzuki's ultimate badassery that he can come out to such an atypical theme song?
Boo to the both of you. Kaze Ni Nare is amazing.
