The Shape of Punk to Come is an excellent album. Good job, Data West.

I may check out Shenmue 1 and/or 2 if they do those oft rumored HD releases, Lucas.

As far as songwriters go, though, there's nobody better than Hall & Oates. Bob Dylan can eat shit compared to those two.

Ah, so you've never heard Bob Dylan before? You should give him a shot. He's pretty decent.

He didn't do much for me. Too folksy.

Hey, did you see though? Dolly Parton coming to Tulsa. I'm so psyched. Country royalty there. She's one of a kind. A musical legend.

Waterbed is empty and that mattress is in the trash once and for all. I don't have a replacement because the store wasn't open when I went by, but whatever. I had to use two different hoses and I slipped 3x while I was doing this shit, so fuck it. Tonight I sleep on the floor.

Just noticed I never got my free WWNLive VoDs for the disaster on WM weekend and the email address I sent multiple messages two more than a month ago is now completely defunct. Good SHIT.

Top 5 all time is super impossible as everyone has said but I'll try

1. Tim Hecker - Harmony in Ultraviolet
2. Meshuggah - Catch 33
3. Lustmord - Where the Black Stars Hang
4. bvdub - The Art of Dying Alone
5. Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine

Yeah that fucking sucks. So much stuff missing. Can't find room for any of the rapping music. I'm probably too white for that anyway. I'd stick Liquid Swords on there. Or DS2 hehe.

EDIT: Fuck and I left Rumors off, this sucks shut it down.

Hmmm, do you sleep on a water bed for your back or just something you've always preferred? I don't think I've slept on a water bed since the mid 90s. I can't even remember the feeling.

Shemue 1 and 2 are some of my all time favorite games, but they're not for everyone. They can be boring as fuck if you're not into meticulously detailed 80's era Japan minutiae. They stroll along at a very leisurely pace, so if you're not into the world building stuff they did with those games it can be a drag.

My favorite thing is in December when Tomato has Christmas music. Then again, I like their normal music...

I love Dobuita's Xmas music too. Ah, memories.

Feels really special and close when you're there.

When you say he's too folksy, it makes me want to know what you listened to exactly. I doubt you'll remember, and that's okay, but it just makes me curious.

And I didn't see. I'm sure my girl Lindsay will be thrilled. She had me listen to Coat of Many Colors not long ago. It wasn't bad.

That song drove me to tears. Hit me on an emotional level I wasn't ready for. Goddamn, it was good.

I listened to Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid, and then Blood on the Tracks. Just didn't resonate with me. I'm not into lyrics too much as the focus, I've found out. I prefer the music itself. It didn't do much for me.

Fave five obscure albums?

Leaf Hound - Freelance Fiend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8bGgtU1bwA
Death Angel - The Ultraviolence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t48ov0BvkX8
Flower Travellin Band - Satori https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxB55yaWG-I
The Big - Tears at the Dover https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqG-FLA2x-4
Five Knuckle - All Ages https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaOd0zcIlbs

Since when is Death Angel obscure? :(

Poor bjork.
Rubber Soul is a better album than Pet Sounds.
Ha. Rubber Soul is, like, the fifth best Beatles album. It's definitely not better than Pet Sounds, you drunkard.

In celebration of Pet Sounds' 50th anniversary...

FAVE FIVE ALBUMS (no order; impossible enough as it is)

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Kid A by Radiohead
Blonde on Blonde by Bob Dylan
London Calling by The Clash
Against Me! as the Eternal Cowboy
I like you. I hope they release a new CD in the near future.

Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid?! Haha... That's hilarious. You set up Bobby to fail.

And Blood on the Tracks only works if you've known heartbreak, kid. It won't work on a man who has never loved or been loved. Maybe one day.

Guru's first Jazzmatazz album was also exceptional. Loved it, for years I listened. RIP Guru.

Stevie Ray Vaughan's Texas Flood is another perfect album. Fuckin' masterpiece there.

Danzig's Lucifuge isn't as popular as How the Gods Kill but it's the superior album by far. That's a hell of a good album.

Grover Washington Jr's "Winelight" album is incredible, and is highly recommended if you want to hear some serious fucking MUSIC. Amazing stuff.

I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Megadeth's Rust in Peace. Their best album hands down.

I had a bootleg cassette of Rust that had the tracks in the wrong order, but now I can't listen to the CD because it just doesn't feel right - the tape opened with Dawn Patrol, went straight into Five Magics and followed up with Hangar 18.

Hah, wow.

For what its worth, out of all the best thrash bands, the best to me is still Anthrax. There's a core there that never wavered, and I think they do thrash the best.
WWE really needs to lighten up on the number of live events they have

Nope, problem is they don't do enough. Staggered schedule makes you weak, keeps you from being in there every night.

I've almost always either had no bed, or a waterbed. Mostly I like it because I can temperature control my experience to suit the season, and since I sleep in the daytime, this is key in order to avoid running the heater or the AC all through the day. But after this fiasco, I'm debating whether I want to continue or not. This is the second mattress in 2.5 years.

I see. You could probably invest in a mattress with the ac controls. How much do they run?

Love for Rust In Peace? I always knew Wrasslegaf was best gaf.
After listening to Dawn Patrol one billion times, it can only be one of the best.
