When Foley won he still wasn't considered a face of the company though. That was still Austin and Rock. I know we're flip flopping here, but in my original question I was thinking of it from the point of who else besides Reigns right now could work in the Austin/Rock/Cena role.

There's plenty of guys who can go in and out of WHC stories right now, but part of the problem is that in order to develop the stories for them you need 2-3 months. This will only lead to further anger from fans not seeing their proven choice as the title holder.

The other question this brings up too is, do you "devalue" the WHC belt by letting it switch hands on a somewhat regular basis versus these multi-month reigns.

But that's not the only set of people, and it also depends on WHO you're marketing to. You don't market Brock Lesnar like you market Seth Rollins. Don't market CM Punk like you would John Cena. It all depends.

Let's not forget Punk complained about having to wear a suit and Taker reamed his ASS and beat him in like 3 minutes due to it.

I should have mentioned that I think public appearances are important and look is a big part of that.

But entertainment value is also a part of that. If someone is entertaining regardless of their look, I still think that's a win for the company, and I think KO would be entertaining on a talk show.

What I'm trying to say is, I think Roman is a good representative of the company. I think he has a look that's immediately appealing to a potentially untapped audience. But I don't think that should be the only criteria for booking a champ, and I also think "look" in public appearances can be mitigated by personality.

Honestly, I don't even think AJ Styles fits that currently. When talking about "the look" he does not come to mind. "The look" seems outdated to me. Most of the people coming up through the ranks absolutely do not look like Reigns/Austin/Rock. Jason Jordan is one of the only people that comes to mind.

I agree with you. As much as I like Roman, I don't think he's the perfect package...yet. But I also don't think we've had one in quite a long time.
