May Wrasslin' |OT| Super Strong Style 16 - Thread Edition 2015

Hogan shouldn't have won the WWF title again after losing to Warrior and then he should've lost decisively to Sting at Starrcade '97 to conclude his heel run/break up the nWo/whatever. I think people would love him without reservation then, but no, it will always be "he was great, but what a politicking prick."

I'm laughing quite a lot at that

Can't watch at work. What happened?

Working in the south, people often called him the N word to his face and even in front of everyone during a match he was refereeing.

Touched a wrassler on the back, who said "N, don't you touch me"

He was booked to be a manager, Flair didn't like it.

Ric Flair came up to him, called him the N word, and Flair just didn't like him.

One of the Hart's would stick up for Teddy though, and even made him some kind of knife to slash anyone's throat who would bother Teddy...

Gary Hart wasn't from the Canadian Hart family lol.

Not even surprised. What a shame...

Watching this video and then seeing him calling out Tony Atlas at the end for laughing at a racist ass joke and then remembering the dumb ass shit Teddy Long did in WWE the last several years for money...

This carny ass carny business. Fuck.

Simon Dean said he has no idea how Michael Hayes is still alive. That if it was anyone else's personality other than Mark's, Mark Henry would have literally ripped his head off.

I'm guessing this is just about peak WWF for me. Very enjoyable show overall.

I respect Zach's reviews if only for the fact that he's determined, even at its peak, professional wrestling is not A-grade entertainment over the span of multiple hours.

If Zach ever discovers a professional wrestling program to be more than a B+ player in the world of entertainment, I'll be the first to watch it and give my personal take.

I just saw a South Park poster ringside at WW3 with Stan Marsh, Sting, and a decapitated Hulk Hogan. And Stan says, 'Oh my god, you killed the nWo!'

It's 1997, yall.

I think everyone will.

On Raw they will have ads talking about it.

Actually, Zach attends the Data West school of Pro Wrestling where "S" is the highest possible grade.

I watched this one last night and it didn't stick out as an amazing show. That Tower of Doom Match in the middle of the show totally put me to bed.
It was relatively early in my professional watching career AND I'm a sucker for that era of southern wrasslin'. I'm guessing that's partally responsible for such a high mark.

heroin junkie kidman looks more sanitary than non-heroin junkie kidman

Disco gets jumped by Van Hammer and Heenan says 'That was the end for Disco' during the replay. Nevermind the fact that Disco hits a crossbody after that spot and the only reason Saturn won was because Saturn rolled through it into a rings of saturn.
This is what me and Man God are talking about

It was strange to see Sting suddenly fall down the card after being so hot the last time I saw him, and it was interesting to see Lex Luger being treated like a Superstar. Kevin Sullivan's antics were entertaining too, I guess.

Wrasslegaf, let's just throw it down right here and right now. Let's ask the real question and let's get into some personal fights with it.

Who's the better color commentator, Heenan or Ventura?
The answer... is Ventura.
