May Wrasslin |OT| Vince McMahon doesn't give 5 million f**ks what you think.

There was one US title feud that happened recently that i actually enjoyed it was Zack Ryder vs Dolph Ziggler. But the feud was developed on Z True Long Island Story and the title was made to look important. Ryder wanted it so bad and when he won it, he was actually excited and happy to have won it. The crowd was actually really into it as well and they were happy to see Ryder win it. But then....you know what happened.

Love Gaf, just found this thread !.

Does anyone have PPV buy rate numbers for the Extreme Rules PPV ?, just wondered if Lesnar had any impact on the buys.

Also looked for it online for hours but does anyone know what the highest rated Raw ever was ?.

Apologies if this info has already been posted.

Cheers.

From Dixie's Twitter:

I've been wondering this for a long time. What is up with all of the nepotism in wrestling. It just seems crazy to me. Let's hire an unproven, unlikable talent because they happen to be the son/daughter of someone in power. What could possibly go wrong? Yeesh.

Impact going live is absolutely fantastic news. The product is on the upswing and the timing is perfect. Raw going to three hours is an absolute fucking disaster at this time......with the amount of talent they have it COULD be vgery good, but I have zero faith in WWE creative right now. All of you guys who are burned out on Raw....I suggest giving Impact another try tonight. The spoilers look to be pretty good and the company as a whole has had some good things going on. Vince needs some competition or we are gonna be in the WWE dark age for a good while longer.

Speaking of that, WWE hired Ric Flair's daughter:

WWE SIGNS ANOTHER FLAIR
by Mike Johnson @ 6:21 PM on 5/17/2012

WWE has signed Ashley Flair, Ric Flair's daughter to a developmental deal. She is slated to head to WWE developmental in Tampa this July.

Flair has been training in North Carolina with former WCW star Lodi to prepare herself for developmental. She's already broken her nose once during training.

Funny how that works. WWE announces Raw is going to be 3 hours, TNA immediately announces Impact is going Live. WWE announces they've signed Flair's daughter, TNA immediately announces they've hired Brooke Hogan.

I found this and I seem to remember it being correct but I'm not 100%.

The highest rating of Raw was on September 27, 1999, in an episode that featured a 25min.long "This Is Your Life" segment with Mankind and The Rock. It was an 8.4

A big part of the problem with wrestling these days is that everything is overexposed. You see everyone, every week, potentially big matches are always given away on TV, most of the time in throw away fashion without any build up. Moving to three hours is going to make it even worse. This is just another step in the downward spiral. Three hour shows were something they had infrequently and could be seen as "special," even though they never really were. Now every show is going to be three hours. Just another step in making sure that nothing ever matters.

I was reading this thread on my phone about Raw going 3 hours and I thought it was one of those made up Observer stories where G-Fex's e-fed would be given the first hour but alas.

Scott Steiner has reacted to the Brooke Hogan news wonderfully!

OMG..hogan i cant believe you admitted you got a lawyer like I said,I expected you to lie and deny

It,bcuz dont you realize that when you admitted that you proved to the world that what i was saying about

You was true! Calling you a pussy n a bitch etc..is my opinion but you admitting you got a lawyer proves

That you are,and since you admitted to getting a lawyer can you tell everybody exactly what

Tweet scared you..LOL..instead of wasting your money on a lawyer you should hire a P.R. firm bcuz

Like ive been saying all along,if you ain't saying your catchphrases you sound like a complete idiot

And maybe that P.R. firm can help your daughter too! Bcuz she admitted she could be a great

Whore, when she tweeted that she could make more money on her back than I did in my wrestling career

LOL.. Well i accept that challenge, bcuz i dont think she can,Good Luck Brooke, maybe you could do

A porn flick like your dad did,or do one with him,

U need to go to Rent-a-Center and rent a brain, bcuz if you check out the websites im not the only one

Who thinks your a idiot

Steiner is the best thing to happen to Twitter in a while. And as is usually the case with TNA, it's one step forward a billion steps back. Just dumb dumb dumb.

It's fucking NXT. Dark matches and then a debut on Raw is much better than having that horrible NXT stigma.

They are starting something new with NXT this week, at least wait to see if it's still the same old shit they've had for the past year, if it's something worst or if it might be something remotely interesting.

Also, NXT gave us Bryan and Barret, and you know that when they run of ideas in WWE they start recycling old bookings.

BROOKE HOGAN TO JOIN TNA’S “IMPACT WRESTLING” ON SPIKE TV STARTING THURSDAY, MAY 31

New York, NY, May 17, 2012 – Television personality and recording artist Brooke Hogan is joining the cast of the highly-rated weekly wrestling program, TNA’s “IMPACT WRESTLING” starting Thursday, May 31 on Spike TV. Brooke’s role will be as the Executive in Charge of the female wrestling division, The Knockouts. Brooke will join a star-studded cast of the biggest names in professional wrestling, including her father, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan. TNA’s flagship series, “IMPACT WRESTLING,” telecasts on Spike TV and is one of the network’s top-rated series on Thursday nights with young men and currently ranks among the top shows on cable in its timeslot with Men 18-34.

In addition to overseeing the traditional duties of the Knockouts Division, Brooke will bring a new energy and direction to the role working with the girls in a variety of capacities.

"I have really gotten to know Brooke by working with her on her music career this past year and a half," said Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling. "When we did talk wrestling, I not only loved her passion and knowledge of it, but the fresh, creative ideas she would come up with. She is very savvy. I asked if she would consider teaming up with me in this capacity while she also worked on her music, and I was thrilled when she said ‘yes.’ A big personality runs in her genes, obviously, and I know she is going to take an already exciting division of Impact Wrestling to another level."

Brooke is heading to New York next week for a media tour to promote her addition to the IMPACT WRESTLING team. Brooke will also promote “IMPACT WRESTLING’s” move to 8 PM and that the series will telecast LIVE for the summer starting Thursday, May 31. TNA's 10th anniversary SLAMMIVERSARY pay-per-view-event is set for June 10th in Dallas, Texas.

You know what is fucked up? TNA posted a Memorial Day Weekend Impact Taping VIP Package which included an autograph session with Hulk Hogan. I imagine plenty of people jumped on it, but they just sent out an e-mail that said the May 28th and May 29th Impact tapings have been canceled and they don't know what they are doing with the VIP packages. LOL. Why set up a VIP package for a memorial day weekend impact taping for $99 if you are going live that week?

So um yea. Brooke Hogan to TNA huh? Fuck it I'm done with them. Last thing I want to see is Another Hogan on my screen. Much less one less talented then daddy. And you damn well know she will be too even if they say she won't. She's a Hogan.

Yeah, I saw them advertising that a few days ago. The right hand really has no clue what the left hand is doing do they? Usually with TNA when there is a bit of good news it's following by a dumbass decision(see live Impact and then Brooke Hogan).

They should make the first hour the Kane hour. It'll be the highest rated hour.
So we'll only have to watch that hour, a good way to avert the 3 hour doldrums.

Kofi has been over for years now. If it wasn't for Orton and STUPIDgate, there's a very high chance Kofi could've been a champion.
Amazing that even after all this time they haven't even given him a chance at a main event match, not even for a single month. I'm still holding out foolish hope

Kofi isn't main event material. At least, not in his current nonsense gimmick.
His gimmick of being a face? if anything his problem is a lack of gimmick

Nope, it seems he is doing another dark match for NXT because he did a match with xavier woods and then Triple H comes out to do his opening promo.

Also, its Regal and Dusty Rhodes on Commentary.

OK good. Ambrose needs to be on the big shows. He's better than anyone else they have and needs to be pushed hard right away from the beginning. Not debut on NXT. Dusty and Regal on commentary makes no sense. They are both color guys. Jim Ross said earlier he was doing commentary tonight.

That's great. I love me some Dusty commentary. Hopefully Booker does some guest commentating too.

8.4 jesus wept :O.

I was really suprised looking back at PPV numbers esp Wrestlemania's that the highest ever was for this years !.

I thought one of the Austin v Rock late 90's WM's would have done 4 or 5 million PPV buys.

Also cheers for the info TM.

It should be because he lost to xavier woods. Also, you can get spoilers for it at Full Sail University twitter account.
