Oh man this thread is going to be entertaining, REUC success will bring in the Nintendo fanboys, PS3 still being > Wii will bring in the Sony fanboys. :lolcreamsugar said:
Personally though, I'm disappointed that GCCX only did 10k more for the weekend, even though it did really well to sell about ~80%(?) of it's shipment.

Oh, this is easy. The PS3 had a full week this week because only a day or two was counted in the last MC week.

Very impressive for PS3 hardware and Musou. I'm especially impressed about Musou. I would have expected a much greater drop. Hardware could be impressive or could just be holdover from last week, but obviously still a very promising number. Musou is now the third best selling PS3 game. It'll pass Gundam Musou next week to become number two. Will it pass Mina no Golf? Who knows.
Heavenly Sword is officially a dud. Debuting at 16k means that final sales in Japan would generously be 50k. US sales haven't been so hot either; <200k over two months.
Umbrella Chronicles is good PROVIDED that they don't end up with an awful supply crunch where the thing sells out and isn't restocked for another few weeks.
Excellent for Game Center CX given the relatively low production cost. Mario Party DS continues to do very well as well.
The worst part about it is that SQL is case-sensitive for pretty much any variable, column, or table name. Only SQL syntactic fluff is case-insensitive. Otherwise I'd just recommend you trim(strtolower($query))--but you can't because the case sensitivity is an issue.
I appreciate adding the saved queries. It'll make it a lot easier to actually be able to cite you when we use your data

How is its debut vs the rest of the series? It's like, third worst overall for what we have numbers for, but ranked against the "spin-offs" it's in the middle of the pack, right?cvxfreak said:

As far as spinoffs go, UC is above Outbreak File 2, Gun Survivor 2 and Gun Survivor 4, but below the first Gun Survivor and the first Outbreak. It's nowhere near any mainline RE with the exception of the REmake. I think it can surpass the GC version of RE4, which sold 220K, but anything after that is anyone's guess.

I'm fairly confident it will beat that, seeing as it's nearing 400k in 3 weeks and Twilight Princess had nearly a year to reach 500k-odd.
Of course nothing to be proud about for a main Mario title AND one of the best games in so many years, but still not a bomb.

Software alone will not be enough to substantially boost Wii sales in Japan. Nintendo needs to offer bundles as well as new colours(Black Wii)
Sony has kicked Nintendo's Wii ass for 2 weeks in a row despite good software sales. If I was Iwata, I would set off the panic button. They need to do something quick to attract more hardcore gamers.

Yes. When stock was plentiful in August/September 70k per week were sold some weeks. Running up to Xmas the demand for Wii's is incredible every family wants a Wii. Loook at prices on Ebay, they've gone through the roof. Even Amazon.co.uk have Wii's priced at £339 vs £179 rrp in shop.
