How shall I interpret that chart?

Do ~50% of all people older than 50 have a DS? I don't believe that for a second.

Thanks Vinnk as always- you're reports are invaluable. More DQS copies better be made stat.

GBA is at 0 for the second week in a row. GBA combined hasn't sold over 1K in a week since late April. It's time can't be long for these charts. :(

Didn't the Xbox stop getting counted only at the end of 2006? :lol

True that, but still, its DQ. It has a much better chance to do better than a "unknown" action RPG for PS3 and as mentioned, Wii installbase is 2 million larger than PS3, also much bigger chance for more copies to be sold. If someone was suprised that DQS sold more than Folksoul i will respect that, but in my opinion its no suprise.

PS2 userbase is insane.

Yangus LTD is beaten by DQS on the "teensy tiny" Wii userbase in one week.

Please.

What the hell are you expecting? The damn game had a shipment of 350k. It sold through EIGHTY-SEVEN PERCENT of it's fucking shipment. This by all accounts is a sell out: when you reach around 90% of sell through it is nigh impossible to find copies, unless you go to rural/unpopulated areas.

Are you expecting, perchance it to sell copies that aren't even on store shelves? Seriously?

infoPLANT recently released the results of a survey they conducted into game machines. They conducted their research by means of a public questionnaire available through the iMode menu system for a week at the end of April. 5,924 people completed the survey, with 62.5% female.

~50% of imode users over 50 have a ds.

Holy crap @ Wii... looks like Nintendo pushed out additional stock for DQS.

Other than that, it's the same ol' Nintendomination.

Holy crap at Wii hardware. Impressive.

PS3 keeps creeping a bit..wonder if the advertising Vinnk mentioned is spurring a bit of pre Minna excitement.

Wow, if Monday's NPD correlates with Canada's.....Wii might unofficially pass 360 in my estimates in a month when July NPD comes out. Holy crap.

DS 2007 is ahead of DS 2006 by 403,143.
PSP 2007 is ahead of PSP 2006 by 165,490.

July is a 4-week month. I don't think Wii will pass the 360 until August's numbers come out. Note that I don't count Japanese sales until the equivalent NPD sales come in for my worldwide totals.

Poor Wii, it sells 110K in the middle of July and it still can't top the charts.

See, Wii-haters! The Wii is losing in Japan!

PS3 continues to fall behind Saturn. Not going to post another chart, it will simply sadden the Sony fanboys. Wii outsold PS3 by over 8 to 1. PS1 didn't get those ratios over Saturn until after FFVII.

Yeah, I count them, just easier for me.

8 to 1 seems to be the magic Ratio for June.

Canada: 8 to 1
Japan: 8 to 1

Will America stick with it? Tune in next time Same Sales time same Sales channel.

Whoa, the Wii sure crashed through that 3 million barrier this week. PS3 is tracking higher for the 5th week in a row--for no apparent reason (?). E3 buzz? Anticipation of Hot Shot Golf? Fans finally got second jobs?

With the report of a really heavy ad campaign for the golf game next week id imagine sales have picked up a bit ahead of that.

Wii should have a sales-age channel

OK, PSP is doing great, but people always attribute the low software sales to piracy. IF that's true, and the new PSP comes out much harder to hack, will that hurt the PSP or make people actually buy games?

100k for PS3 in US = .....800K for Wii!

They could make it along the lines of the Everybody Votes Channel.

lol if something like that happened I fear the roads would be tainted with more blood then even during the french revolution. The net would implode and god knows what else

....goddamn Wii is a freight train runnig over HD.

I do think the Ps3 sales are a bit of pre-MNG excitement.

so DQS essentially moved 25k Wiis?

Nice numbers for Wii!
