You have the same glasses as Patrick Bateman!
That was mehahah i think there's been like half a dozen people (myself included) that go into the haircut thinking a #1 on the sides/back is going to be awesome, then we just end up hating it for a week or so. through trial and error we've settled on a #2 with a little bit of #1.5 taper in the back.
How curly?
This curly. Longer now though. Need a haircut, definitely need it thinned, lots of stray frizzy strands by the end of the day.
True, but compared to the original Oliver Peoples? Love my Warby Parkers thoughGlasses from Warby Parker are hardly a sad purchase!

i should have posted my haircut. i'll post in a couple weeks after my next haircut.

I use only conditioner otherwise it dries out like mad and turns to frizzy itchy annoyance.

YOUR HAIR IS AWESOME.
Just trim the sides, and rock it.
I assume this is what LOCK was referring to, but I must admit I'm not a fan of the style. I know it's the trend at the moment, but you can do so much better stuff with curly hair. Perhaps post a picture of your face? I think it would help in deciding what would suit you best. Thanks!
Anyone have some pictures of curly hair so I have ideas of options?
Also, I have NEVER had a decent haircut. No one seems to know how to cut curly hair, even supposed curly hair specialists. I once got my hair cut at toni&guy at the bill of my gf at the time and it came out crooked. I mean, really?
Is it really all just a terrible gamble for me?
Really happy with it.
Looks way better than the other pictures you've posted. Way better. I think that fits your face pretty well. Maybe consider going a bit shorter in the back? Otherwise I think it looks great.Anyway, how does my hair currently look? I got it cut yesterday:
Quite a bit shorter than I usually have it, but I thought I'd get it done. I just wish my curls were darker and thicker, but that's just sadly not the case.
Looks solid, dude. Very nice.Just got mine cut. Gave this as a reference.
Really happy with it.
I really need to figure out a new hairstyle, I'm getting tired of this;
Go for this.

I have to say you look attractive with your current hairstyle (no homo).
As you should be, it looks great.
My advice to you is to start drinking heavilly.
Just kidding, you should try a more natural looking product I think. You don't even have to get a cut right now, just try something more matte, something that doesn't make it this spiky.
Also, if your hair is naturally straight like that you're really lucky, as you can pretty much do anything you want with it (I'm jealous).
How about...
?
Those looks like super nice cuts. Gonna go well with all the muscles you been building.
I think some people should take their facial structure into consideration. Just because it's a trend - having the high and tight look does not work for everyone. Particularly if you get it too short on the sides.
I know particular photos do not get posted frequently in here, but growing your hair out and going for a medium to longish look would look better on some of you (imo). Remember most of the dudes you're trying to emulate are models with very chiseled or defined facial features.
This is my biggest concern. I have somewhat fat cheeks and a full face. Getting a cut like the pic I posted might just look weird due to the lack of defined facial features.
Indeed. The goal is being honest with yourself and taking constructive criticism. The worst thing you can do (imo) is going to your barber or stylist and saying "Hey I saw this model - I want his hair" and them just agreeing to it simply to make you happy. Granted, that's what they're paid for.
However, you need to find someone (or people - friends/family) who are going to say, no that does not look good. Giving you an honest opinion. Fortunately, I found this really good guy at some rundown hair cuttery years ago (he's since moved up in the world) who would blatantly tell me if something didn't look right. Even down to styling my hair.
Find someone like that, experiment a few times if you have too, and then you're golden.
I wouldn't mess with the length on the top regardless. I think it looks good. Definitely clean the sides up a bit, but I wouldn't go too short if you intend on getting it shaved. No less than a 3 (imo).
Alternatively you could just go scissor-short on the sides, clean it up a bit, and style it messy or slicked back. That or a 4 on the sides is almost always a safe bet.
This request is going to be alittle diffrent but do you have any ideas for short hair styles with little to no maintinace involved?

The key word is "disconnected". I tried to get a similar cut a few times at different places and they kept blending the sides until I used that word. I have since gone to other places and as soon as I use that term they know exactly what I'm talking about.I need to find a good undercut picture. My stylist is kind of blending the top but I want that more defined line between the buzz and the length. It doesn't look bad at all really but not what I'm going for. I probably just need a better example to show her.
God, I've done this more than once. Whenever I'm in the chair I keep wanting them to cut it shorter and once a year or so I end up going for a #1. Once you get below a #2 it is amazing how much of a difference a little length makes in how it looks. I have some minor scars on my head and they start to become visible at a #1.5. That said, my hair grows at about 1 clipper length a week so even if I shave it completely it will be back to a reasonable length after a week and a half.hahah i think there's been like half a dozen people (myself included) that go into the haircut thinking a #1 on the sides/back is going to be awesome, then we just end up hating it for a week or so. through trial and error we've settled on a #2 with a little bit of #1.5 taper in the back.

Always the dilemma. I'm getting my haircut this weekend. I think I'll stick with a $2. This is going to be the first time I will have gotten my hair trimmed since I've been dating my GF. It will be interesting to hear her feedback.got a cut this afternoon. went 1 on the sides and I think it might have been a bit too much. fucking love the feeling of rubbing my head now though
