Jury didn't have enough information to make that call. Not sure you do now. If the State hadn't withheld the evidence, the defense and prosecution both might've had a chance to more thoroughly investigate claims about his competency.

As for the pharmacy, it's better that the general public doesn't know which one it is, as that could lead to a lot of other problems.

Not sure how that would be a bad thing. Maybe I think such companies should have the problem of me boycotting / protesting them. Maybe transparency is how a free democracy functions.

As for the pharmacy, it's better that the general public doesn't know which one it is, as that could lead to a lot of other problems.

It's not about preventing the public from knowing. It's about preventin the pharmaceuticals themselves from finding out that we're using their products for executions, so they can't pursue legal action. You can't enforce a ban on having your drug used for executions if there's no way for you to know if they're being used for that purpose. And you can't dry up the government's supply of execution tools this way.
