"Metal Gear Collection 2014" That Kojima is so hot right now

Make this for PS4/XB1/PC and include the following:

Metal Gear
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
Metal Gear Solid / VR Missions / Twin Snakes
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty / Substance
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater / Subsistence
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops / Plus
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker / DLC / HD
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

Day 1.

Youll never see portable ops or twin snakes again, plus revengeance isn't considered a mainline MGS game so i wouldn't be shocked if it doesn't appear in future collections. also, if they're bundling GZ with anything it will be with TPP.

Ridiculous prediction that has 0 chance of happening:
It's every Metal Gear game ever released remade in the FOX Engine.

MGR will probably get its own collections later after more entries.

A collection wtih all Solid games for current gen consoles would be amazing

And I'll be there to buy them for the billionth time now

Yep, no chance. However, if they released Metal Gear (msx) and Metal Gear 2 remade in fox engine on one disc, i'd be willing to bet that a ton of people would buy it. I mean, those games weren't very complex, so remaking them within the scope of the Fox Engine wouldn't take long. Especially if they used premade assets from MGSIV, MGSV, and MGSV:GZ.

I would gladly pay 30 dollars for those two games remade on a modern engine.

Question can MGS4 be on other platforms? They'd certainly have to edit some things and what not if it went multiplat lol.

In a world where they'd make every Metal Gear Solid game available on Steam in a collection or separately with decent port quality, there would be no need for anything else. Ever.

Remakes of MGS 1 to 4 (Peace Walker included) with the FOX engine would be... just... crazy! But let's be realistic the amount of work needed would be insane don't you think?

Metal Gear 1 & 2 on MSX
Metal Gear on NES
Metal Gear: Snake's Revenge on NES.

Gimme all of the non-Solid/Rising games remade in the Fox Engine, even the non-canon Snake's Revenge.

Day one.

Imagine if this is why they sent that MG remake group a cease and desist.

This would be great

I'm glad that I sold my legacy collection. I had a feeling I'd have an opportunity to play these games on newer hardware.

ok, let's think this through.... kojima productions is presumably busy with tpp.
making full-scale hd remakes in the fox engine of mg 1 and 2 and mgs just seems to be way too much work for them at the moment.... and i guess it would not be enough to order 2 or 3 guys to do it, like with the remastered versions.

so either they outsourced it(somewhat unlikely) or we're getting just another compilation of the games on nextgen consoles...with maybe a portable ops hd remaster.

i'm a sucker for kojima and mgs, so yes, i guess i would buy a ps4 collection.

is anything other than this realistic?

They did replace the Playstation with a GameCube in Twin Snakes so I am not sure why they cannot do the same for MGS4.

They'd have to rerecord some dialogue with HAL regarding the Metal Gear Mk.III being powered by a CELL processor as well.

I think some Codec dialogue even mentions the buttons of the PS3 controller (Square, Triangle, etc.), so they'd have to rerecord those as well.

So what you're saying is... Hayter confirmed!?

A believable collection would be (which can still technically count as a "metal gear" not solid collection):

MG1 (from MGS3HD)
MG2 (from MGS3HD)
MGS1 (PC version being used to port over)
MGS2 HD
MGS3 HD
MGS4
MGS PW HD

All running in 1080p 60fps on ps4, and xbone, with the possibility of a pc version.

I'm kinda glad I held off on getting the legacy collection if this ends up happening.

I'm sure this will be catastrophically disappointing, so I'm going to stop thinking about it right now.

I have yet to play MGS4 or even read about its story in the hope that it'd one day come out on a system I own (PC or handheld, since that's all I buy now).

So, fingers crossed.

The only series that can rerelease the same fucking games over and over again, and I will buy them sight unseen.

Lightning a candle for Saint Gabe, may my prayers be heard.
