Cutting things in pieces on the console version absolutely kills the framerate so I guess the recommended specs are high because they are for running the game at a solid 60fps framerate, as opposed to running at 50-60 with drops as low as 10fps.
Guys please do this and prove to Platinum that there is a huge audience for them on PC. We need Bayonetta!
Hopefully Capcom will bring Dragons Dogma next.
I seriously hope this doesn't turn out to be an unoptimized port, sadly Japanese developers and PC never get along much, this game engine should be PC based but... You never know.
Added to the CHAPTER Menu the Boss Stage, enabling to play only the Boss battles.
So to get it at the best price we have to blind buy before even knowing if the port is good or not?

.
There is an option reading "ZANGEKI" that will modify the amount of cuts you can make.
Seriously? Wtf release it on Steam.I've got a good feeling about the PC version. Platinum internally made a PC version of Bayonetta which even worked with Nvidia's 3D Vision.

They're surely able to optimize the game.
Seems like it'll be cpu heavy. Looking forward to it.
Hopefully Capcom will bring Dragons Dogma next.
They released that Viking game on Steam 4.5 years after che console release and they can't release Bayonetta? Come on SEGA.Ask your mum.
Ask Sega.
Rules of nature.
I'd say it's a bad thing since it shows that the game doesn't have any advanced graphics settings.Recommending a GTX 650, eh?
I think that's a good sign.
It doesnt even have a dx11 option.I'd say it's a bad thing since it shows that the game doesn't have any advanced graphics settings.
Most people probably consider it a good thing though, since it seems to me like to many it is more important to be able to "run at max settings" than to actually have real max settings. (The latter is called "unoptimized)

I guess it was too much too hope for a DRM free version.Steam account required for game activation and installation
I hope that this game is open in the sense that modders can fuck around with it
I will get this immediately. Anything to encourage Platinum and hopefully SEGA to port their classics to PC. Like Bayone~....
They had a internal PC version!? Release this Platinum! I'll even pay full price for it!

When you go to checkout a $5 off digital promotion is applied making the game only $15.
You sure that's not a $5 credit from an old Digital PSN promo purchase or something? Not working for me.

100% sure.

I understand where you're coming from, but I'm ok with the game not being demanding so high end users can go crazy with downsampling.
What you just highlighted isn't saying what you think it's saying. You'll get $5 credit that can be applied to selection of other games in January.

Nah, high end users could still go crazy with downsampling. The difference is they would have the option: ultra quality graphics and normal resolution or high quality graphics and downsampling.
Having no higher quality demanding settings only gives the player less choice, not more. And PC gaming is all about having multiple choices if you ask me...
That being said as long as the graphics look decent this is one of the games where I value gameplay >>>>>>>>>>>>> graphics, so I wouldn't nag much.

I wish
Just for the record, I'm not complaining about the port at all, it seems to be everything that could be expected (all DLC, competent technically, cheap price). I was just ranting about the prevalent attitude towards / psychological impact of high-end graphics settings, since it's a pet peeve of mine.

I don't think there is any way we'll get a PC Bayonetta except maybe way in the future. If Sega is going to re-release Bayonetta, it'd be for Wii U and I don't think Nintendo would want it to come for PC as well. They released that Viking game on Steam 4.5 years after che console release and they can't release Bayonetta?
