Holy shit at that OT man

Yeah, uh, I think I'm going to have to get this on Thursday instead of Gears...

Also never have played it. And I got a weeks vacation starting on the 28th...

I'm still on the fence with this one. I was thinking it was an obvious choice on PC but it seems like it has some issues and a 60 fps cap.

I might go with PS5 if the PC version is indeed fundamentally broken.

Then again, I could also just go back and play the PS3 HD version.

An OT worthy of the GOAT, can't fucking wait to be back in this world, it's been too long!

"The world's first HALO jump"

"A true Patriot"

"You're pretty good!"

"The dead are not silent"

So many god-tier moments, Kojima in his bag, physical copy arrives Thursday, let's fucking go! 🫡🫡🫡

That ot title sound like a porn movie title located inside a zoo or somethin...

Noice.

Great OT. Like holy shit big props for the effort.

...but this part had me giggling like the idiot I am.
Thanks for the compliment.
I wrote "spoiler warning" because i don't want to get blamed by someone for spoiling the minigames or even the trophies icons.

Is there any reviews for the PC performance?
I played Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater on PC, and unfortunately, the port is quite flaky. That's something we often see with Japanese titles, but I was hoping for more. The game starts strangely, with a long shader compilation behind a black screen. After a few minutes, I thought the game had crashed. How much effort would it have been to just show a loading bar here? The game also crashed to a black screen after completing the Guy Savage minigame, where I suspect it should have returned to the menu.

Furthermore, the game forces you to use FSR (or TSR), and you can only choose between 30 or 60 fps. Yet, I still experienced frame drops. Ultrawide support is completely absent. Even at 1440p, I couldn't get a stable 60 fps with FSR in quality mode (performance helped somewhat, but still resulted in dips). It was even worse on my TV in 4K, although it looked stunning. So I hope the console versions are better optimized.

hopefully it will be cleaned up eventually

Edit: Quoting below with gameplay to avoid being lost in the thread.

Doesn't look terrible.

What mode is everyone playing? Legacy or modern controls?
I think everyone is using modern because it feels a little more like V.
Also legacy camera, i got to be honest here, since Subsistence i never played the game with top down camera again.
Modern controls have a bullet drop effect though and make distant accuracy a little more difficult.

No, I get it. Was just funny seeing old history about the world post WW2 being the first thing under the spoiler warning.

Well pc version is gonna be rough as well then. Damn might just wait to see how Lost Souls Aside reviews before I buy either ( or neither).
