Metal Gear Solid Δ Snake Eater |OT| Hungry for More Snake?

Do we know if there are any new campaign unlockables after beating the game?

Also wondering how extreme difficulty feels.

Like what?
You unlock the usual weapons/camo/extra stuff depending how well you do.
European Extreme requires Extreme to be completed.

Fantastic OT.

I'm really, really excited to experience this masterpiece again with ultra banger graphics.

Pre-ordered deluxe edition for PC, It's opening tonight, I assume?

Is it "Hungry for more, Snake?" Or "Hungry for more snake?" Or "Hungry for more Snake?"
I think "Hungry for Some Snake?" can have double meaning.
I just changed Some to More because we're getting more MGS3 and Snake is getting more snake and more of everything else. :messenger_grinning_sweat: I wanted to tribute the original somehow.

Never played it but played through mgs5 twice and liked it despite game not being really finished, also liked both Death Strandings, guess I'm a sucker for Kojima game. Picked up deluxe edition today on steam.

Thanks.

I thought it possible they'd add new difficulty modes. Was probably subconsciously hoping for a perma-death mode. Maybe new weapons or camos not seen in previous games. Any gameplay modifiers really.

Permanent death mode would be added to all the MGS games if I had my way. I sometimes get too obsessed with starting over when I am caught. I miss the days of just trying to get through in one piece.

You went straight to V and enjoyed the story?
The fluidity of the gameplay was a landmark. Mother Base turned playable was a cool expansion from Peace Walker but it also carried the separate missions and repetitive structure of a portable game so it's a bit grindy.

I can't say they didn't add cool stuff in Delta.
We can critic performance issues, still using loadings or lack of Duel Mode but in geral i like the added content and it's still MGS3.

Grildon Tundy Grildon Tundy You left me thinking. What about another interpretation. Enemies namely Cobra Unit could be Hungry for some Snake, there was something like Eat or Be Eaten in an old trailer.

I played Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater on PC, and unfortunately, the port is quite flaky. That's something we often see with Japanese titles, but I was hoping for more. The game starts strangely, with a long shader compilation behind a black screen. After a few minutes, I thought the game had crashed. How much effort would it have been to just show a loading bar here? The game also crashed to a black screen after completing the Guy Savage minigame, where I suspect it should have returned to the menu.

Furthermore, the game forces you to use FSR (or TSR), and you can only choose between 30 or 60 fps. Yet, I still experienced frame drops. Ultrawide support is completely absent. Even at 1440p, I couldn't get a stable 60 fps with FSR in quality mode (performance helped somewhat, but still resulted in dips). It was even worse on my TV in 4K, although it looked stunning. So I hope the console versions are better optimized.

hopefully it will be cleaned up eventually
That is rough. Saved me the money too. I would have loved to put my new PC through it's paces.

Any way to change how you enter first person mode? I want to hold R1 instead of toggling it by pressing R1.

I made sure to configure the controls to make them as close to MGSV as possible.

Can't wait to experience the epic climb. Did they redo the tracks with the same lady who sang most of the V OST vocals? I went ahead with the digital deluxe. Guess I'll play it when I can. It beats watching all the cutscenes from the pachinko machine lol

You mean Donna Burke?! I think not.
Cynthia Harrell rerecorded Snake Eater theme for the new opening video, and some voice work was done to add to Bomberman mode for example i think. Not sure about the soundtrack itself, sounds the same.

So the game doesn't support DLSS?

Curious for first hand impressions for my pro boys. Is it as bad as DF makes it sound?

Destin may be biased, i don't know i don't follow much youtubers, but his review video was maybe the first that i saw PC settings menu and the 60fps cap.

Yep, but I watched hours of story recaps so I knew what's up. Haven't had a chance to play previous entries at the time not to mention when those came out.

Without spoiling anything do we know if you choose?I love the entire series from the menu from that menu that you get all the Easter eggs.

After watching my friend play the first 2 hours, worth every penny. Can't wait to play in the morning.
I wouldn't pay 90 for this game, it's a matter of principles. HOWEVER, I found it on a keyseller site for 60. So that's a nice fix for the situation.

Deluxe is 58 euros on instant gaming.

Not wure if i'm gonna pay extra to play this one 2 days earlier.

Maybe if you people manage to hype me up enough...

I think everyone is using modern because it feels a little more like V.
Also legacy camera, i got to be honest here, since Subsistence i never played the game with top down camera again.
Modern controls have a bullet drop effect though and make distant accuracy a little more difficult.

Subsistence is probably my number one rerelease of all time. I liked vanilla SE, it was obviously brilliant, but due to the camera different radar and the added density of this game I couldn't quite enjoy it as much as I wanted. This was also in a post Splinter Cell era, that made waves on Xbox.

Subsistence was so much more immersive that it instantly shot up to be one of the best games of all time. Its the same game, but the free camera just perfected it.

This is a bit off topic but If you want to support developers, better buy the key in fanatical or Greenmangaming. Instant gaming, cdkeys and others are more of a gray market.

I thought the grey sites were the ones with keys at half the price of a regular key like kinguin or g2a...never heard anything negative about cdkeys or instant gaming.

For a while I thought the same way but they are gray market as well.

PC still the best version afaik, that doesn't say much when even high end cards are not butter smooth. Hopefully mods will come to uncap fps or a miraculous .ini file :messenger_tears_of_joy:
