I actually just received a set as a gift and haven't messed with sound profiles at all. Is it a nice enough enhancement to make it worth the effort?

Yes. You navigate to your install folder and dump your MP3s into the folder marked "CustomSoundtrack."
Songs should not be placed more then 1 or 2 directories deep.

A big yes. Those headphones are pretty good once you customized the sound to the specific games. All games have different sounds levels, so you have to fiddle with them quite a bit to get the best out of it.
I think its worth it. But i am a sound nut too.

Haven't started it yet, waiting until it gets a bit darker outside.
Good choice. 3 sittings with my wife, only at night. we had TONS of fun with that game. Honestly, one of the most fun games i have played this year, and also one of the biggest surprises. I liked it better than Heavy Rain or Indigo Prophecy.

Been playing since friday, 8 hours in and the game is a masterpiece. A Jedi game, and for the Jedi, patience is a must.
Finally, I have two days off work to play it more. If my cat wouldn't be missing since thursday, I would be so happy.

Well.. i didn't take the day off... or i would've stayed up.
With MGS2... my brother and i played the game straight for like 15 hrs... took a power nap then finished the game in 17. It was awesome.
