This looked far more solid than I thought.

Very metalThis looked far more solid than I thought. Might be a day 1 pick up if further trailers impress.
It was a trailer that was clearly geared towards the fans.Very metal
Does it really matter? Sure, they can't put a new trailer together for shit but it's a one for one remake, Kojima's genius is already in there.A MGS game without Kojima feels like it's lacking something in this trailer. Maybe it's "soul?"
Or, probably just the lack of shaky cam and soap opera effect.
It my observation on the trailer, nothing more. The man painstakingly cuts some fire trailers.Does it really matter? Sure, they can't put a new trailer together for shit but it's a one for one remake, Kojima's genius is already in there.
Insane.
Just a mock up someone posted with it having a colour grading closer to the original.
Insane.
No offense but this is a bit of a retard take, colour grading is important, right now it looks like stock. These filters on the originals helped enhance the directors intent, with Kojima going for a hazy western vibe in some scenes (such as the Ocelot fight).OMFG it's just not green enough, Without the 20 year old piss and snot filter it just totally fails to capture the feel and tone of the original, Totally soulless it looks fan made... No Kojima No buy.
Clearly being sarcastic I think it looks great and the faces are fine, The hate is strong here, I bet if Kojima was involved it would all of a sudden look incredible and look perfect for today's games and be day zero.

To bring up another example, look at the shit GTA remakes, they ditched the colour grading and now all three games near enough look the same atmosphere wise!
It's the same audio used in the original gameIs it me or Snake's voice is like 19 year old?
That's Boss. What is the issue? She looks like she did in the original, just with more detail as one would expect.
Color grading and similar stylistic choices will forever be somehow ascribed to "technical limitations" or some other nonsense. Just like anything that isn't auto-tuned and processed to hell and back in music right now is deemed "retro" or similar. It's not. It was used for a reason and by people that understand what makes games tick a million times more than any of us do.No offense but this is a bit of a retard take, colour grading is important, right now it looks like stock. The Boss was never a "pretty" woman so I'm not too surprised this is the direction they took. Need to see more but I don't immediately hate it...Ugh... what they did to the Boss' face should be qualified as a war crime.
Don’t Hayte the player.. Hayte the game.
That was some soulless garbage compared to Kojima’s trailers.
I wish Metal Gear Solid would leave out the supernatural elements. I feel like that detracts from the game.
^ This.Such a strange post. How did you even get through the Psycho Mantis boss fight then? The super natural elements are part of the series' DNA.
They even remake the trees, this is looking like a 1:1 remake, or more like a glorified remaster
Insane.
People just have a hate boner for nearly anything these days. Who cares...the game looks great so far. That's Boss. What is the issue? She looks like she did in the original, just with more detail as one would expect.
MGS3 was already damn near perfect. Also It looks like they updated the controls and a few minor gameplay elements. That's good enough for me.Looks like a totally soulless new coat of paint. None of the artistry or attention to detail that, love him or hate him, defines Kojima's work. It's akin to the Disney live-action remake of Lion King.
