It’s already beginning!Yeah, it was made with consoles in mind, especially those two. But hey! The PC port definitely has potential to become Mod fodder a la Sonic Colours Ultimate!
Thanks so I got lucky I bought USA version. But if it only runs at 30fps why does it need to refresh above 30hz? Or is the minimum a TV refreshes is 60hz so anything that doesn't divide into that looks a bit off? There will be inevitable framepacing issues like we saw with PS1 classics from Sony on PS4/PS5. PS3 supports 50 Hz output but newer consoles don't.
The fun fact is that all newest TVs still play 50 Hz content perfectly fine, doesn't matter if they're bought in EU or US or anywhere else. The only problem is the console not supporting this refresh rate.
All physical games require downloads.Guess I shouldn't be surprised but the physical Switch version requires a download which kind of makes it pointless.

Good luck playing any modern physical release without their typical massive day 1 patch.Incorrect.
Good luck playing any modern physical release without their typical massive day 1 patch.
You play them without day 1 patches? Impressive.I have a ton of them on my shelf, thanks.
You play them without day 1 patches? Impressive.
Why would you play anything without patches and updates?Yes. This also isn't a patch but a game install to require the game to run. But please continue on with you banal prattle.
Why would you play anything without patches and updates?
I'm just giving you a hard time. It's just a seemingly increasing trend.1.) This isn't a patch or an update but a mandatory download to get the games to run in the first place.
2.) There are games released that don't receive day one patches or updates. Examples: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, WarioWare: Get It Together, Metroid Prime Remastered
I'm just giving you a hard time.
No, they are not. There's a significant input delay that makes some actions unnecessarily difficult to perform (aiming with a sniper rifle is just the worst, for example).Controls take some getting used to but they’re the same as they always were, they’re completely fine.
You don’t need patches. You really overestimate their effect. Most games just work.Good luck playing any modern physical release without their typical massive day 1 patch.
Idk about that. Patches are massive and parch notes are crazy long. The industry is in a release it now, fix it later mindset. You don’t need patches. You really overestimate their effect. Most games just work.
You are angrily complaining on an adult toy forum that the makers of your adult toys, which you played a quarter century ago, did not work hard enough.
It’s already beginning!

I don’t have the game to test but supposedly MGS 2 has some UI issues but 3 works alright.
i noticed the button changes during an MGS1 CODEC call... it says "select button" but the text was "Touch Pad"
Still thereWhere are they hiding the Meryl codes number?
I attempted to find it within the game itself, but I cannot find any hint at in the online manual (which is really cool, btw). So I ended up just googling it.
There's gotta be some clever place it's hidden, right?
I've got it digital. I found it. You can turn thr digital guide around. The digital guide is very cool.Still there
was thinking the sameSo they are selling it piecemeal and I lovèeee mgs 3. Thinking of getting that for ps5 and getting the plat.
If you've not played them in over a decade and you didn't play the HD Collection versions then these are still good since for MGS2 and MGS3 it's the HD Collection versions with a few fixes, just the downside being that it renders in 720p. For MGS1 though, DusckStation emulator will give you a much better experience.I want to revisit these games so badly but seeing all these negative impressions about the crappy job that Konami has done on the collection, I think I'll withhold until some big sale.
Not this crap again. It's still 30fps,you obviously have no idea what this setting actually does.PSA: For anyone playing this on Switch on an LG OLED TV, you can make MGS2 & MGS3 run in a "faux" 60FPS by turning on the TV's TruMotion feature in the settings.
Ymmv, but it does work with most (stable) 30fps games.
REPORTED.So they are selling it piecemeal and I lovèeee mgs 3. Thinking of getting that for ps5 and getting the plat.
It was always on the back of the box. Even in the original release.

You could do that with any 30fps game. I wouldn't bother though, it will look really weird and you'll get really noticeable input delay.PSA: For anyone playing this on Switch on an LG OLED TV, you can make MGS2 & MGS3 run in a "faux" 60FPS by turning on the TV's TruMotion feature in the settings.

Yeah.. Don't do this. You may aswell be using a carrier pigeon as an input device as it'd have the same level of input lag as using motion interpolationPSA: For anyone playing this on Switch on an LG OLED TV, you can make MGS2 & MGS3 run in a "faux" 60FPS by turning on the TV's TruMotion feature in the settings.

Lol "Faux" 60fps. I'm fully aware of what's actually happening when you turn on the setting...and so what if your eye still perceives it as running smoother. Not this crap again. It's still 30fps,you obviously have no idea what this setting actually does.
"faux" 60FPS
So played through Metal Gear fine, man I forgot how hard this game actually is and how cryptic on where to go, still worth a playthrough and completed in about 2 hours
Emulation wise, it was fine, nothing I could see that wasn't perfect, this was the MSX version as well
Legendary thread was legendary.PSA: For anyone playing this on Switch on an LG OLED TV, you can make MGS2 & MGS3 run in a "faux" 60FPS by turning on the TV's TruMotion feature in the settings.
I just played through it last year via emulator and it looked ten times better than this. A toaster can emulate these games in 2023, don't give these clowns your money. As bad as the ports may be I really want to replay MGS1.
Wrote it down and guessed the last one, 1st time! lolDid you use a guide for which feet to place the c4 on lol or did you just write it down?
