Disappointing. I was hoping for a Play-Arts figure at least. But they cheaped out and gave us some stupid robot arm.

The arm thing is a million times cooler than a crappy Play Arts Kai figure imo, much more novel and unique. Plus you can flip everyone off with it

They look the same and you are right, in general is GAF sure the Japanese version is full scale?

Both pretty disappointing really. Was hoping for a nice artwork steelbook for the collector's. The Day one edition is perhaps more disappointing. Preorder DLC and an extra ugly banner on the boxart. The only good thing is the map. But for an extra £20? Nope.

I'm asking myself whether I'm genuinely excited for the LE, or just caught up in GAF hype. Played through each MGS once, enjoyed them immensely, but I really don't know if I'm interested enough in the franchise to even pick up the game at release. Those months will be stacked.

Yes, it's the one shown on IGN. Selecting "United States" on the product page here shows the same CE as the EU one.

This isn't preorder DLC. You don't need to preorder to walk into a store and get the "day one" edition. They are usually available for a couple of weeks at the least. That gives you plenty of time to see whatever you need to of the game the decide if you want to buy it or not.
