Aside from a single mid-game weird fade to black (that I'm sure Visceral wished it could have ironed out), the entirety of Dead Space 2's 10 hours is one long "take", into and out of cutscenes and gameplay. In a non-first person game, it really helps bring cohesion. It's not that cuts to video or cutscene models or whatnot are that bad, but they don't keep you as inside the experience as an unbroken camera angle.
Throw out the JaseC signal, he will help us with which one is correct.
SteamDB's release date flag doesn't actually offer any insight into games that don't have a specific release date listed on the store page, plus Valve still has to change release states itself and doesn't unlock games over the weekend. Case in point: Averan, which hasn't been released yet but SteamDB thinks was done so three weeks ago. Ordering Steam's own list of upcoming games by release date is the better resource and you'll see FNAF4 is listed between Ravenmark (6th of August) and Demon Hearts (7th), so it's one of those two at this stage.
Man, I can't wait to have Paz stationed somewhere on my Motherbase in Phantom Pain, it'll be great.
"Paz lives on through this poster!"Didn't Pazdie in Ground Zeroes?
Makes sense given how much of this game is rooted in Peace Walker design. I've never played any of the portable Metal Gears so I didn't consider them. I didn't understand until very recently (Ground Zeroes) that Peace Walker is actually taken quite seriously in the cannon despite being a portable game. I always wrote it off as a side story.
Still though, I never got the impression that Peace Walker was a very popular title. I'm glad to see that much of its' unique design is carrying over to something more grandiose.
soo guys im just about to preorder the psn version of this and it says play on 9-01-2015 midnight pacific time
what the fuuuuck
i thought they stopped doing this fucked up shit...I'm on est...

Peace Walker is pretty well regarded. IIRC it was originally going to be a PS4 game, but Sony wanted to promote the PSP, or whatever.
Personally, I'm still struggling to get through it, a year after starting. It's nice but the levels are so tiny. It's a very different game. The strategy stuff is good but not quite engaging enough on a console on PSP it's pretty much a perfect MGS game. Very short and sharp and while the story isn't very well written, it's got some good highlights and very important plot points.
I dislike practically every new character introduced in PW. Lacking proper cutscenes or codec convos meant none of them felt as fleshed out or real as protags in the other games.

> ask if you can swing by and pick it up on the Saturday or Sunday

> get the game 2-3 days early

(> if you'd still rather have it digital, wait until the game is on a digital sale 4-6 months down the line, trade in your physical copy, get the digital copy instead)

Avoid it, my hype was at 100% before I saw the dang thing and after it somehow doubled.Juts came into here to say I haven't watched the trailer. 20 days to go as they say.
Didn't Pazdie in Ground Zeroes?
Not until after you finished a mission I think. Not very hard to check if there's anyone left to rescue though. Is there a way to see who & how many people you've saved in Ground Zeroes? Would be handy to know just incase I missed anyone, wouldn't want to leave anyone behind...
MGSV's Mother Base has me thinking back to all the time I spent talking to all my space bros on the Normandy between missions in the Mass Effect games. I imagine I'll end up spending half my play time there![]()

Kojima will cry a solitary tear (of beauty) when Punished Snakeslaps on white and red make-up in the final scene of MGSVI and retires from a life of war for good
She's got the same scar on her stomach, though.
There is nothing like this in Miami. It drives me crazy.

It's at the point now in my area where it's safe to assume even most non chain restaurants are running something under the table (drugs, etc) or committing some kind of serious tax or wage fraud to stay afloat. In many areas in America it feels like theres no room for small businesses anymore.Really?
... Maybe I'm just underestimating quite how corporate and institutionalised the USA is. Is it all chain stores across the pond?
Every city I've been in over in the UK has had independent stores. Do some googling, perhaps?

I wouldn't be surprised if there was atank full of Paz clones a la NGE.
MGS 7 will be after Snake has become the head of the international clown school in Paris
You have to capture clowns from heinous, villainous, marauding circuses and return them to your clown-base via multi-coloured balloons
Only then can you build your own clown army- I mean, troupe
Yeah. They'll replace the Fulton with just a bunch of colourful balloons.

Me too. I have tried many times. The only thing is maybe some flea market store but that is probably stolen shit. As far as I know there is no legit indie store that sells games early here. I would love to know one. Hell I would drive up to west palm to get MGSV early.
Who's this, from the E3 trailer?
Sorry guys. This really sucks.
If it's any consolation, it looks like that weekend before MGSV is going to be so damned busy for me I probably won't get to play it even if I do buy it early...
That's just cruel. But please I want impressions from you early guys. Spoiler free of course. I remember with MGS4 there was a gaf member that got it early and called it the greatest game he ever played, for some that turned into fake hype that didn't live up to expectation but I fed off of it and I personally love mgs4. It was a fun time.

People post thier receipt on forums. Some users print this receipt and go from store to store to ask the salesman to sell the game because some other major company sold a copy.
I find this really sad.
I think what we should take away from this is that street dates suck.
Save an allotment for a street date so it's on shelves but silently allow preorders to pick it. Wtf are we waiting for.
I called it when that trailer dropped and I'm calling it again: Pazis one of several clones of the Boss. If Zero was going to clone Big Boss, why not clone the Boss as well?
