!!!super ultra ending spoiler do not click even if it doesn't actually mention content but it does imply something important!!!

I've seen people say the CE includes a video saying the true ending isn't in the game yet and will be patched in and you need 100% too see it. Is this legit or did I get rused?

The
true ending seems to be cut content. Well, 'true' is one way of putting it. Really it's just the conclusion to an arc that doesn't get concluded in the game itself. All the other plot threads see conclusion in the game itself.

It would seem that it is cut-cut, as in not happening, but people are talking about a September 11th patch so I have no idea. Apparently in the video they talk about how they couldn't get it done, showing things like a cutscene that was 30% complete, so it would seem to me that it isn't happening and that's why they showed what they had completed of it (things like concept art).

It's difficult to categorise them as bosses, I'd call them 'encounters'.

Also, I know a lot of folks are bemoaning the lack of story, but I like that the gameplay IS the story- The story of rebuilding Mother Base. There's something powerful about moving through day-to-day ops for me.

So uh, how do I build an FOB?

And where is the animal platform?

And where that's supposedly important thing in the medbay? Did I miss it? (Just finished mission 9)

Man, mother base is confusing.

Finished the prologue and stuck on the 480 seconds "installing game data" screen. What should I do to fix it? Wait it out?

A 9/11 patch? That seems... weird. Didn't Kojima change a lot of stuff in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty because of 9/11? Seems weird there would be an ending patch on the same date now.

Hi everyone, not sure if this has been discussed yet, but I am in need of help for the DLC codes for the collector's edition of the game. I ordered the game through Amazon and have not received any emails that contain my codes. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place? If someone could please reply with help or send me a PM i would greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: never mind, I just got the email through Amazon, which I found odd seeing as the payment was processed yesterday.

This.

Big Boss doing all these menial, for-cash missions are part of the story of rebuilding MB. Nothing glorious or grandeur like Snake Eater Mission or Peace Walker Incident, just simple task for money.

Well shit, don't look at the Spoiler Thread, but people there seem to be thinking that Kojima could be doing something crazy. There's an image shown in the credits of the Blu-Ray (I think it's from there) that's causing people to speculate.

holy shit the credits in this game so far are everywhere and it's hilarious. I think I've seen Kojima's name fourteen times already and I only just got to Mother Base. It's like he's trolling Konami.

The graphics are freaking great, and the lip sync has been excellent too! very accurate.

also, it runs on high for me, 60fps everywhere so far, and I only have a 660 GTX.

So, I'm more of a go-in-guns-blazing kind of guy instead of stealth, and haven't enjoyed previous MGS games. That said, all these good impressions are making me consider getting the game, especially from those that didn't like previous titles and are enjoying this one. Should I do it GAF?

Definitely. Guns blazing is a totally valid, often necessary approach in this game, and the controls are so tight it's just badass to do so. It's often like a Rambo simulator.

Jeez the guards in this game have fucking hawk eyes. They would make the KPA in Crysis on Delta difficulty blush.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm using the desert camo in Afghanistan and they spot me from God knows where unless I prone.

Crawl everywhere.

It's OP.

I completed mission 28 (I think it was) earlier today and there's a cool little easter egg which really surprised me, it's not story related or anything MGS related but i'll spoiler tag it...

There's a radio playing
out the radio chatter from P.T
hidden in a tent in the valley.

Yeah, you're infiltrating during the day.

You really need to actually stay out of sight unlike previous MGS games where enemies are shortsighted.
