I'm so excited to see Camp Omega in TPP. Kojima was teasing something pretty cool for GZ owners a while back so I'm sure it will be special.

Why is it that some Side-Ops can be replayed? Like I've got one now that has a tick next to it but I'm able to play it again.

I only see it as easy GMP opportunities but it's annoying when the tab says new missions and I look and it's only old ones replayable (until new ones unlock).

With the new Feebleness of Brain (FOB) discovery, shouldn't this topic be renamed "The Man Who Was Sold the World"?

I feel that could still be super useful when you have to get across a wide open area. Any idea on the second version?

From the description, it just gives more uses and improves the battery. No way to tell how much until I get it, which I'm far off from now.

I am hoping that you can unlock a more unlimited version later. It does not appear on the development grid, but I imagine special unlocks, like w/e gives you infinite ammo this time, won't either.

Douchebag. Yes, me.
Mid-game spoiler/question-

I just did the boss battle right before Angola opens with the large robot you had to hide from. This was the most bullshit mission, and I had no idea what they actually wanted me to do. Played it for two hours before finally the robot for some reason went away and I was able to extract. I tried everything, running across the map and then lying down in a bush behind a rock and pressing triangle. He would just slowly walk over to where I was even though I was completely hidden... stand there for a minute, then attack. I was completely obscured behind a huge rock when this happened, and I couldn't see a single polygon of his geometry. I tried running across the map then running back to the LZ with the guy chasing me... I tried everything. What exactly was I supposed to do?

repeat missions with mods on, the normal game end at mission

.Then there's a handful, of missions, and a hell of a lot of padding,

Ugh.

I have the feeling my impression after all is said and done will be, "good game, would have been better if it was linear and 20 hours long." Maybe I'll laugh at that statement in a few weeks.

For those who don't consider unlockable skins as spoilers, here's one that I unlocked around the 70 hour mark:

Very odd that it's MGS1 Snake's face (with bandana) under there instead of Gray Fox's actual MGS1 face. Never noticed that in Ground Zeroes.

Unrelated question about side-ops:
How does replaying them work? I read that they are not replayable until a certain point, when is that?

Alright I tried to put together a video showing box fast-travel but THEY WON'T LET ME POST THE GODDAMN THING

Instead, here's an incomplete list of locations I've found in Afghanistan:

Smasei Fort (right in the middle of it)

Wakh Sind Barracks

Yakho Oboo Supply Outpost

Sakhra Ee Village

I'm not home to check but is there any chance they could appear on the paper map that came with the game?

Absolutely loved mission 6, the
Honey Bee mission where you have to infiltrate the fort. Even the relay station by the big bridge leading up to the fort was great fun. I really want to replay that mission and take out the driver of the car at the relay station with my sniper so they can't take the prisoner over to the fort. It probably has little impact on the end game of that mission but still improves replayability

As a separate question regarding DD,
how many missions do you have to complete, and revisit Mother Base after, for him to be grown up?
That was the first mission that I felt like it wasn't introductory, so to speak and though to myself this is the MGS I know.

Just completed a misson,
mission 7 if you're interested
taking extreme care, sneaky af, guaranteed S rank. Took an hour and a half. Escaping the hot zone at the end, and..

THE GAME CRASHES. Why do you do this to me

So can someone tell me how to get quiet?

She's at the ruins in the northwest part of Afghanistan. You need to tranq her, then choose not to kill her. After that, it takes a while before she can be used a sa buddy. Just do missions until she becomes available.

After clearing all 157 Side Ops, 23 of those missions are open for replay. I doubt you can unlock the option to replay all 157.

Never mind. Reloaded and the checkpoint was literally just before it crashed.

Can anyone PM me or spoiler when/how to get Quiet?

Agreed. Definitely the best one so far. I'm gonna power through some side ops for a breather, and then back into the main missions.

Setting Flight of the valkyrie as your chopper song ( when it has speakers ) is THE BEST THING EVER in a vidyagame

Im on 19% completion, where can I see my gametime?
