Metroid Prime 3 itself will reportedly take "advantage of a number of new features in the Revolution, including the controller."
Music production hasn't yet begun, but we've already had some very exciting discussions with Kenji Yamamoto, who will return as the composer for Prime 3. We hope to take the music into some new directions for this title, and there's no doubt Mr. Yamamoto is going to relish the challenge."

Metroid Prime 3 will continue the first-person action adventure the series has become known for, and there are no plans to add a third-person viewpoint outside of the morph ball.

The interview hints that Metroid Prime 3 will end a trilogy of sorts, as the the third game's storyline will center on closure "told against the backdrop of an epic struggle," suggesting Samus will not be the only one battling the dangerous Metroid threat this time around

psycho_snake said:I was actually hoping that MP3 might have a third person view as well as the first person view and the player will have the choiuce of playing in either, but it doesnt sound like that will happen.
Why didnt you like the dark world?

How so? The engine didn't really seem upgraded too much beyond the original.Technically its more impressive than Metroid Prime in every way
Think about how the games are designed. That would be akin to playing a Zelda game where Link is fully loaded right out of the gate. Those upgrades are a major piece of the game design.I love Metroid games but I HATE loseing everything for some stupid reason

I didn't even bother to finish Echoes, when they sent me on that last fetch quest... kthanxbye
That's exactly what I felt about MP2 but couldn't quite place my finger on it.dark10x said:I hope the soundtrack is more on par with Prime 1 rather than 2. Along with my disappointment in the dark world, I was also disappointed in the soundtrack. It was GOOD, but not great and none of the songs REALLY grabbed me (some nice remixes, though).
Ha ha ha, yeah, that's right.
Prime 2 did rock, but the dark world was incredibly unappealing. The environment and atmosphere was so important to the original game (and even the sequel), but I could not get into the dark world. That was a huge weak point in the game and I wish they had avoided that direction.
An all-new interview with the team comes from from Luminoth Temple, an exclusive, Nintendo-sponsored information hub for Metroid fanatics, full of vague details about Metroid Prime 3. Thanks to Demi over at the Gaming Age Forums for confirming this.
..pakbeka.. said:um, prime had a fetchquest and I'm pretty sure prime 3 will have one too
anyway, Tallon > Aether, however, I think the gameplay is better on prime 2, it's much more challenging (hard mode is actually hard, OMG) and the Boss battles were much better. And the dark world is actually much easier than the light world, every dark enemy can be instantly killed by shooting a light beam at a light crystal/beacon or even better, the anihilator beam
