About to beat off
Whose taint do I gotta lick to get a Metroid with Returnal gameplay and graphics?
I think that's exactly the intention of this character in this game…Some devs really need to understand that goofy cartoony characters in a serious game feels waaaaaay too off, Final Fantasy 16 had funny moments within the game's tone and it was great (Clive meeting his uncle for first time, and even some uncle's moments)
Other M was the next 100% mainline game and was a game far inferior to Prime 3 (and almost every other Metroid), which had plenty isolation itself past the intro and just like this game will after the 5 minutes of interactions with each new character are up, the bonkers bs we're reading here, lmao.
Not the same type of game, with this overview trailer and a release trailer is enough, probably the real fans of the series are going full blackout mode until the game is released.so Kirby Air Riders gets two directs and overview trailer meanwhile Prime 4 only gets an overview trailer and there's no sign of Prime 2 and 3 remastered f you big n/
I get that but on another topic Nintendo must hate money since they won't give us two and three remasteredNot the same type of game, with this overview trailer and a release trailer is enough, probably the real fans of the series are going full blackout mode until the game is released.
I still maintain that Returnal felt more like a modern extrapolation of Super Metroid in terms of atmosphere and art direction than anything Prime, no matter how much I love those games. Not saying it's better than Prime games but just purely in terms of atmosphere and art. I played it and was like Nintendo...please...Whose taint do I gotta lick to get a Metroid with Returnal gameplay and graphics?
100% is going to happen in the future, probably they are preventing a saturation. Is the smartest choice IMO.I get that but on another topic Nintendo must hate money since they won't give us two and three remastered
hoping the have a voice slider for the dial so we can just read the subtitles"They're coming over the side of the bridge!"
"Try your missiles to hit them off of the bridge!"
"That door just opened by itself!"
Like, shut the fuck up. The only acceptable reason for this pipsqueak being in this game is if you can blast him into the atmosphere at some point.
If the turd dies, it's game over apparently because we're back to escort missions with characters who hide and scream a lot. Also even when he disappears, apparently he harasses you remotely via comms! Yay."They're coming over the side of the bridge!"

same sadly I think the best case scenarios we get two on the GameCube app in a remaster of 3100% is going to happen in the future, probably they are preventing a saturation. Is the smartest choice IMO.
this game just gets worse and worse and worseIf the turd dies, it's game over apparently because we're back to escort missions with characters who hide and scream a lot. Also even when he disappears, apparently he harasses you remotely via comms! Yay.

sameEh. I just wanna know if this silly shit lasts for an hour or two out of twenty or if it's a pervasive issue. I'll wait for impressions and reviews. These elements sound dumb as fuck but MP3 was still mostly great imo for example.
PS: What fucking wacko named a Metroid character Myles MacKenzie?
This game will make other M good.

Yea this game is not even close to the level of shadow fall. It's at least a generation behind shadow fall imo.
Granted, this fucking dialog was probably written ten years ago when it was apparently peak awesome comedy to be a smug, meta dipshit.I totally understand the people saying wait and see, and I intend to. I'm getting the game. But it's very concerning seeing them promote this aspect of the game heavily in the trailer, and we can reasonably expect there will be a new person to meet in every new area based on logs shown in preview footage. So this isn't a one and done thing. This will be a recurring part of the game, even if it's not a large percentage overall. I just don't like how it interrupts the flow and takes you out of the immersion and isolation that most of us enjoy most about the series.
And honestly I wouldn't mind it nearly as much if the dialogue wasn't so clearly bad and ill fitted for the experience. I thought the culture had collectively moved past the cheesy marvel quips…but I suppose those writers are still being employed…It's to the point where it's just insufferable when you still see it. So while I really hope I'm wrong, my expectations were dashed by this far, far more than any barren open world desert might have made them.
"Oy vey Samus! Are you sure these doors are safe to go through, the Schmutz is killing me, I'm all verklempt over here..."
This is a Nintendo game there will be no such thing rofl.if I get this game at all it will be on deep discount f that dialogue
remassterI know a lot of fans hate that game but that game deserves a remaster.
I hope so, but from the IGN preview they were guessing -- based on some submenus that show character bios, with a lot of blank entries -- that you'll likely meet a new federation helper character like this one in each new region as you go.Other M was the next big 100% main game and far inferior to Prime 3 (and almost every other Metroid), which had plenty isolation past the intro just like this game will after the 5 minutes of interactions with each of the handful of extra characters in the span of 15-25 hours, concern trolls are funny.
And there's three regions (shown at least) so I guess that could be even less than the "handful" of characters I mentioned thereI hope so, but from the IGN preview they were guessing -- based on some submenus that show character bios, with a lot of blank entries -- that you'll likely meet a new federation helper character like this one in each new region as you go.
I don't mind the anime version of Samus at all, neither in the manga nor in Other M. And I don't care at all about the "you ruined her in Other M by making her less badass" crowd, who cares about that anyway.Besides the wonky controls due to being tied to the Wii, I liked Other M. Found the story more interesting than the other Metroids. Guess I'm one of the few that don't mind seeing Samus interacting with others. Probably because media outside of the videogames for IP interests me like this:

I wish we could see more interactions with the Chozo and other sentient aliens.
sameI have a really bad feeling about this.

Probably a technical mess…Did we ever had a look at the MP4 Bandai Namco was cooking?

I prefer the top tier level design from Retrostudio than a procedural one…
I'm fucking dead lmao"Oy vey Samus! Are you sure these doors are safe to go through, the Schmutz is killing me, I'm all verklempt over here..."

I love the Prime series for the level design, puzzles, slow pace and atmosphere… And Retro is top tier in that aspect, Returnal is amazing, and one of my favorite PS5 game, but other than the atmosphere and futuristic settings and don't see the relation.I think we more are referring to the speedy third person shooting with a little melee. Thats exactly how Samus should fight and what they tried to convey in Other M.
This video made me cancel my pre-order.
