MGS: Ground Zeroes to Phantom Pain Save Transfer

So is this just a one time thing? Like can I upload my data now, and finish getting the rest of the dudes later? Or do I have to get them all before I start MGS5 for the first time?

That's the standard sneaking suit that you can develop in TPP, and the player is wearing a bandana (that you can also develop).

The TPP sneaking suit is very similar to the MGS one; differences being that the former is gray and black and the latter is dark blue and blueish-gray.

And the MGS suit never had a giant dick on its back. :p

Yeah it is the pixelated version, I already edited my original response. I should've checked first lol.

It's not a high res model if that's what your talking about, just looks like a pixilated skin I just got it now.
 
Gold bionic arm?

Hope it's not the yellow one I already had since I got the game lol

Dying to connect online but in the middle of a 3 hour + side op lol

Did you reach a certain point in TPP to unlock the gold arm?
I did the transfer but I just finished the first mission and only unlocked the sneaking and Solid Snake.

Also, did all the soldiers + prisoners appear on mother base? I can't find Kojima nor the Eye and the Finger.

I am in mission 10 and none of the people I extracted are in my base, maybe they don't even carry over at all :(

Same boat, I even went back and recaptured Kojima on Hard, reuploaded the data and redownloaded it in MGSV. I didn't get anyone, but got the Sneaking Suit, Gold Arm and GZ Suit.
 
So only 2 suits carry over?

1 for owning GZ--Infiltration Suit

1 for beating Deja Vu (on normal?)--Pixelated Snake Suit


That right?

Even if all the people extracted were going to end up being shit (other than Kojima's assumed S rank research skills), I was really hoping there was something to them transferring over.

After going through and extracting the POW from the boiler room in "Destroy the Anti-Air Emplacements", I noticed something in the results screen (and I apologize if this is old): there was a listing for "Mother Base Staff rescued" and it listed 1. I don't remember that wording appearing when I extracted anyone else (any of the POWs from the Ground Zeroes mission or Glaz and Palitz).
 
Apparently Glaz and Palitz are recruit able in the main game according to the Metal Gear wiki when I was looking up their patrol patterns in Ground Zeroes. Don't knee it that is true but it would slain why they are B's. They also suffer from PTSD - give 'em a break.

I'm not sure about reaching a certain point. I'm at mission 15. And the soldiers might require you to do another mission before appearing, they didn't pop up immediately like the suits did.

We don't know that for certain.

The guide states that there are items called "Master Certificates" that are used to unlock the Raiden/Fox skins, but it doesn't state if these are unlocked via save transfer or acquired in-game.

Reason being is that specific prisoner was a member of MSFs Intel Unit that was captured on his recon mission to investigate the camp.

Everyone else are just random prisoners from all over the world.

I don't think it matters, it's just like the "Elite Volunteers" screen you get when you recruit A+ and up soldiers. I guess it just waits for you to return to ACC from a mission or side op to give you the GZ volunteers.
Edit: or not. It was a main mission.
 
The 19 GZ 'carryover' personnel don't all unlock at once, I believe they show up after main missions sporadically.

None of them (aside from Kojima, apparently) have super great stat, but they have some decent B/A ranks in a single stat, which could help boost your early-game when all the native soldiers have E/D ranks.

And we still don't know what the return to Camp Omega segment does/gives, so there's (maybe) that.

If I start Phantom Pain now with an incomplete GZ save (only 7%), will I be able to go back to Ground Zeroes, do some stuff, and upload my save file to unlock more stuff in PP?
 
Ahhh that's it they unlock periodically upto mission main mission 10 which unlocks all the ones you recruited. Great stuff I am on mission 10 now so once I finish it I should have all the guys I took in
 
Anyone else notice the idroid loads slower (as if it required an Internet connection) ever since the severs went live?

Doing a mission to see if I get Kojima. Already got solid skin and gold arm

Nothing else yet. Waiting to use my GZ code too.
