What's the issue? I'm playing it right now and I don't see any immediate problems. Field is clear, text is totally readable.chespace said:Tried playing Fire Emblem on the Micro on the bus ride back last night.
Not cool at all.

crecente said:Yeah, I totally suck at taking those close up shots of screens. They always seem to get blurry. Maybe it's my camera.
I havent' had any problems with the size of the screen, but I'm planning on playing a lot more Fire Emblem over the next week to test that theory out. I spent a lot of today out and about, with the Micro hanging around my neck, and it was quite comfortable.
I was playing Dynasty Warriors Advanced and it didn't bother me at all.
I'm planning on posting a more in-depth field test of the Micro over on Kotaku Monday morning.

Maybe it is obvious but have you checked if your camera has a "MICRO" button? Usually it is used in order to take very close pictures. I have an old and a new cameras and both of them have this button!
We need more pictures! :O
Lol!
Thanks again.

Bcause I might totally consider getting one if this is so...
Yes because exposed screen + metal keys = <3 <3 <3Ristamar said:That's a damn good idea.
Well since the screen is exposed only if you don't have a faceplate on... I don't think that would be a problem.Hyoushi said:Yes because exposed screen + metal keys = <3 <3 <3
as far as i know, it use the same charger as GBA and DS ....Tempy said:Seems like the micro requires its own charger so I can't use existing GBA/DS chargers. Does anyone know if the charger that comes with the Japanese/US Micro can handle European voltages?
Dazzla said:The US seems to have lucked out on the choice of Micro.
The EU has Green, Blue, Silver and Pink (All solid colours, the casing the same as the faceplate). Japan has Purple, Silver, Blue, Black and Famicom (again, all matching casing and faceplate). But the US has Silver casing with 3 faceplates (Ammonite, Ladybug and Black) then the other option is the Black casing with 3 faceplates (Camouflage, Flame and Silver). All of which I think look pretty damn ugly in combination.
Here's the EU options:
Here's the Japan options:
And here's the US options:
Anyone else agree? I think if I'm gonna pick one up it'll be either the Black or Famicom models from Japan.

IGN said:On the other hand, instead of a Link Port, there is just an EXT port up top for plugging in the power adapter -- it's a different plug from that of the SP as well, so you'll need both plugged into your power strip for charging.
Yes, I'm very curious about this as well. Kobun, what's the voltage tolerance on the charger?Tempy said:Seems like the micro requires its own charger so I can't use existing GBA/DS chargers. Does anyone know if the charger that comes with the Japanese/US Micro can handle European voltages?

Dude totally!! How sweet would that be? I've been meaning to buy one of those old school NES controller belt buckles at Gamestop, but an actual playable handheld? I'd buy it in a heartbeat.FortNinety said:Forget keychain, what about a belt buckle?
crecente said:The Micro uses a unique charger, completely different from the GBA SP and DS. Mine says OXY-002 (JPN/USA) on it.
In one box on the back of the charger it says:
Input: AC100V 50/60Hz 7VA
Output: DC5.2V 320 mA
Then outside the box and beneath it it says:
Input: AC120V 60 Hz 4W
Output:: DC5.2V 320 mA
CLass 2 Power Supply
Hope that helps. Oh, and it's a two prong affair that folds down like with the DS and GBASP chargers.
Thanks for that, ordered.Dazzla said:Well, I ordered a stepdown (220/240v -> 110v, UK spec plug) at the same time I ordered the Famicom Micro from Play-Asia. It was like £6 or something, then just use the charger in the Micro box. When the Micro hits UK shores pick up a UK Micro charger.

On a side note, I just posted my follow-up field test of the Micro. I talk about how it performs in the sunlight and how no one seemed to notice it dangling around my neck while I was walking around for a day.

The one I ordered from PA was apparently unsuitable. I had to cancel that, it didn't have a 2 prong port for the JAP plug, just a figure of eight. I ordered this one in the end:Hyoushi said:Thanks for that, ordered.
Well. This one right here will do just fine for me.Dazzla said:The one I ordered from PA was apparently unsuitable. I had to cancel that, it didn't have a 2 prong port for the JAP plug, just a figure of eight. I ordered this one in the end:

Heh, will indeed. God knows how I missed that :lolHyoushi said:Well. This one right here will do just fine for me.

Both those will work, but you need a converter since the Micro uses a proprietary smaller EXT port.Naked Snake said:Will link-cable mulitplayer work on Micro? What about GBA-to-GC cable? It'd be a real shame if the Micro didn't support those, it's already a streamlined GBA since it doesn't play GBC and GB games, at least give it link cable support pretty please.
