Micro + Sink full o' water = baaaaad...

DS sleep mode isn't even hardware, it doesn't work in GBA mode.
It doesn't work with the Japanese version of Zoo Keeper either, so it's not even hardware-based for DS games. That said, being software-based has it's uses (see Another Code).

Update:
Well, the screen works 100% again, and sound is fine...but the shoulder buttons are borked. the volume/brightness buttons are stuck on brightness, and L & R both don't respond.

So...any game that doesn't require the L/R buttons will work fine, but no Castlevania:CotM for me.

Also, the headphone jack works fine (wo0t! Electroplankton Headphones!), so I can still have quiet time w/ my Micro, as long as I don't try to play anything w/ shoulder buttons.

Manji, call Nintendo's customer service and see if they can help you. They may not, since this is technically negligence, not a defect, but it cannot hurt.

I'll try that out, Mej, thanks for the suggestion. I'm probably not going to leave out the "dunking" part when I report it, so I fully expect to be brushed off...but there's no harm in trying :)

I bought my DS last year on day one. Had a dead pixel. One. Contacted NoA. They referred me to a Fed-Ex location with a special code. Went, they took my DS and shipped it to NoA at no cost to me. On the third day after I sent out the DS, they had sent me a brand new one (with an extra stylus for my troubles), again, at no cost to me. Now that's customer service.

Good luck.

I was wondering, if someone properly modified a GB/GBC cart to fit inside a Micro (or DS for that matter), would it actually work?

Or an e-Reader for that matter.
e-Reader does work, but GB/GBC does not. I've tried. Besides the apparent lack of Z80, the older carts ran on a different voltage (5V instead of 3.3V), so even though emulation would have been logical to implement, it still wouldn't have the necessary hardware support of whatever new chips they're using.

The one area where Nintendo crushes Sony.

thats an important area.

Yeah; Sony isn't nearly as generous; I've had to pay for shipping on numerous occasions, even after their repaired system failed.

Ok seriously, how do you drop a memory card in a glass of milk or juice? I've never dropped anything in a glass of milk/juice nor have I ever come close, especially not something that remains inside the console 99% of the time.

Found an original Gameboy once in the local forest as a kid about 12 years ago, it was still in its retail package in a bag. There was even a reciept with it dating it had been lying out there for over six months, over the winter no less. The Gameboy still works perfectly to this day :D
