Don't drag peoples post history out, answer arguments or ignore instead. Geez.
I now have a lot of ignored users once I found this out. It's a nice thing for your sanity.

So who would you guys trust more?
Ars or EDGE?

Ars or EDGE?
MS on the 21st.
So wait... Microsoft sends an internal e-mail to...People working on the new Xbox...
To tell them that it works without a connection...
Shouldn't they know this if they've been working on the damn thing?
What the heck is this?
That + there's no way they could react so quickly and change something so fundamental in a system they've been working on for years lol
I'm not saying they'll have GDDR5 RAM, but that they will pull something no on expected (Just like Sony did with 8GB GDDR5 RAM) I don't know if it'll be a better CPU, or GPU, or more RAM than people expected, or maybe full backwards compatibility, or maybe Microsoft will have some GDDR5 RAM themselves, but I'm willing to bet Microsoft will surprise a few people.
You can currently watch Live tv on your 360 with Windows Media Center. Unless they have changed something in the last two years.
I doubt that is what they mean though.
I would like it too but my tv has the satellite receiver built in so I won't be able to use it.
Maybe MS plans to integrate a receiver?
I honestly don't even think they'll bring up the matter.
This needs to stop. It's not Ars vs EDGE, it's an internal email from Microsoft vs unfounded rumors.
There's literally no comparison between the two.

Can we see a screencap of the actual email?
FYI, they won't.
Neither will Sony.
If you don't want heavy entertainment features
in your gaming console then the best system to get out of the three is the Wii U.
It begins.
They'll definitely bring it up during a post-conference interview.
Both are reputable, I'll go with the one that is most recent considering these things change
Neither, unless the interviewer brings it up first.
That's the way I look at it. Edge's rumor may have been accurate at the time but who knows what could have happened since then. Both are reputable, I'll go with the one that is most recent considering these things change
lol.
Both are unfounded. We know nothing of the sources for this e-mail. Actually, we know as much about the sources of this e-mail as we do for the sources of all the other rumors.
I'm going to believe a specific source (internal email) than the vague sources.
Neither, unless the interviewer brings it up first.
Of course the interviewer will bring it up, that's what I meant.
Getting desperate are we?
Yes, that's a given due to all the press this issue has been getting, but I'm not expecting Microsoft to answer any of those questions.
I'm going to believe a specific source (internal email) than the vague sources.
Hopefully all these fools get fired soon
This only makes you desperate...
An internal email from Microsoft vs reports from insiders that "can change" is not even remotely comparable. You can choose to doubt Ars Technica's credibility on this to suit your blatant agenda if you want, but there's no real tangible reason for anyone else to do the same.
They obviously changed it seeing people's reaction.
lol.
Both are unfounded. We know nothing of the sources for this e-mail. Actually, we know as much about the sources of this e-mail as we do for the sources of all the other rumors.
Keep dreaming. So can we now get a confirmation on free online aswell?
We don't even know if the mail really exists. A "source" of Ars claims it. Same as a "source" for Edge claimed that Xbox is always online. They're both rumours. We really know nothing. This needs to stop. It's not Ars vs EDGE, it's an internal email from Microsoft vs unfounded rumors.
There's literally no comparison between the two.
and how do you know that this is an internal email?
Desperate for what? I'm not buying Durango and neither are you.
Look at it this way, if this turns to be untrue and MS implements online only, Ars is gonna take a huge hit on it's credibility and will be a thing that will be remembered for centuries to come.Because Ars stated so? Unless we're dismissing their validity now.
Wouldn't you agree that a "rumored" internal e-mail from MS itself, posted by ARS and corroborated by Paul holds..idk..a slight bit more credence than a bunch of rumors from vague secondary sources?
Is this really hard to understand GAF?
Ars source claims they have a mail from MS. Edge source claims they have documents from MS. We don't have any proof for both.Wouldn't you agree that a "rumored" internal e-mail from MS itself, posted by ARS and corroborated by Paul holds..idk..a slight bit more credence than a bunch of rumors from vague secondary sources?
