Microsoft Stores across most of Europe no longer stocking Xbox Series consoles

The regional stores across most of Europe are either completely out of stock of all models (even reconditioned units) or go to a page displaying 0 items when going to the Xbox consoles store page.

Observed with Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria.

Phil had a press release go out saying they are still investing in first party hardware, and Amy saw it and was like 'the fuck you are'

I don't get this either.

If the console has been discontinued by MS, it seems strange we haven't seen retailers trying to sell off existing stock, including games, at a discount.

Did MS either recall all of the stock that's in the wild or allow retailers to send back unsold stock?
I suspect the latter. The former sounds too buttoned up and conspiratorial. Is FH6 a PC launch exclusive as PS5 release is supposed to be after launch? Some piece is missing in this puzzle

Xbox is a force ghost now, more powerful than you can possibly imagine.
Gamepass on PS5 soon yeah?

The current iteration of Gamepass wouldn't work on another console. At the very least they'd have to come up with a tier that strips out all 3rd party games and I still think Sony would decline based on the report of $300 million lost COD sales thanks to the service.

Were Dreamcast units discounted and cleared out that way? I can't remember.

I vaguely remember the games being heavily discounted at Walmart. I'd still see the games year later in an endcap at the back of the video game section next to automotive parts.
Yeah, pretty sure they were.

I remember going into Best Buy around that time and seeing stuff on deep discount, and I also remember stores carrying games well past the Dreamcast stopping production.
