Well me either, but that's a real personal thing. I can imagine its pretty shitty for a bunch of people and I recognize that its a negative overall.I really have no problem with a always online requirement. None.

PS3: "Get a second job."
Durango: "Get a second home."
I really have no problem with a always online requirement. None.
At least when PSN went down, people could still play single player.
just like Sony went for the pay for multiplayer model?
I really have no problem with a always online requirement. None.
It has sounded logical to me for over a year now.Actually, the subsidized purchasing model is sounding more and more logical.
Something to do with usage of the phrase "secret sauce" IIRC.
No. They would have dragged the company's name through the internets mud over nothing. No always online DRM bullshit is not a farfetched hope. It's a bare freakin minimum. If the console actually don't have drm bullshit. Would MS be marketing geniuses to you guys?
Nope. I have no reason to buy this console.
This is the most important reason the "dude, this is total overreaction, nothing is confirmed"-crowd is so wrong. It's important to react strongly. Make it a difficult decision for Sony (i do think this is a done deal in regards to MS already)
I'd rather have Sony reaming MS with cheap shots over this than having them go the same way.
Considering 20% of American homes don't even have an internet connection I'd say there is going to be a large amount of people who buy the 720, bring it home and immediately try to take it back to the store because they literally can't use it. And that's not even counting people that don't have a stable connection/have no interest in online gaming.I feel like now I'm apologizing for MS- I'm not, it sucks, etc. I just have to say that the majority of the purchasing audience has no idea that there is a new MS system coming, nor do they know or prob care about any of these rumors
i hope notIt has sounded logical to me for over a year now.
It's also pretty scary, because I think it will succeed beyond our wildest imagination -- in the US at least.
Haha, I can totally see Ballmer doing that. The pseudo-conspiracy theorist part of me is beginning to wonder if this is some sort of elaborate PR ruse conspired by Microsoft, aiming to convince Sony to flip their switch to block used games, right before they pull a bait and switch on the whole thing. Typical Ballmer plan.
Well the problem is that there's no console announced and he wasn't reaaally referring to any sort of console in particular.Still no official response? Oh boy.
Still no official response? Oh boy.
It's 5am in PDT... let's wait and see what happens when Steve Ballmer wakes up.
Still no official response? Oh boy.

Their servers better have 8 GB GDDR 5 RAM.
Still no official response? Oh boy.

Whatever always online is true or false,i would say this guy basically ruining,or even already ruined MS's announce plan
Not surprised if he get fired.
Ok ok, i'm happy this thing grown incredibly but i left GAF when this topic was 30 pages and the two were doing damage control saying the the guy was joking about the cities

Exactly! I had amazing internet in Blacksburg. It's a great town too.Did that fucker just talk shit about Virginia Tech... Blacksburg consistently gave me a ping of 5 to 9 in CounterStrike from 2000-2005.

Wow.What do you expect? Americans are the only people on earth that buy a faulty product more than once and pay 60 dollars a year to use YouTube or Netflix on their Xbox, screw MS
I really have no problem with a always online requirement. None.
this happned...
If this always online requirement turns out true I think it's pretty safe to assume that MS isn't interested in becoming the number one console worldwide, they just want to be relevant in the US and the UK and that's it.
In other words they don't give a fuck about the rest of Europe, Asia and South America.
He announced that he loved this company. What was with him on this gif? Did he announce something ?
