Got anything other than gut reads and "nagging feelings", "something about them just doesn't click with me", etc to provide?

I've always been much more of an emotional player. By that I mean look for feeling and tone in posts rather then content for the foundation of my reads. This is forum mafia, where scum can look over posts two, three times, confer with the team, and then actually post. Feeling and tone are harder to guage due to text, but I find it much more reliable in the long run.

But instead of appealing to Meta, I'll humor you.


You talk too much. You make walls of posts that reply to every little thing and it feels very defensive. You constantly bring up the peeking issue despitw the fact that we really should be talking about other things as well.

Then again, large walls of text seem to the be the flavor of the game, something that I have never been cut out for.

I highly doubt ynny would be bussing me if she's scum. She had 4 targets to choose from in that group.

Feels like scum is taking the opportunity to eliminate a player that posts alot while protecting one of their buddies that's in danger of being lynched

I joined the game in the middle of a workday, 4 hours before deadline. All I've done so far is catch up, make some sketchy initial impressions, vote for you and measure your reaction. Not much space to come up with solid feelings on other players in that time. Hopefully I will have more calmly-reread the thread and recent interactions for tomorrow.

Ynny's vote on hyper is interesting, but I feel like I'm outside of that discussion. If it's up to me I guess a hyper lynch is gonna yield more info because that's who Ynny went with and is getting the most attention/hot takes atm? Still seeing which way this is gonna swing.

In regards to 2 and 3, definitely a fair assessment of the situation.

Feel free in wanting to lynch an active poster day 1. I think it would be more useful to look through the less active posters for day 1, but whatever.

You had 13 posts at the time of my ISO. One of the reasons I chose you given the reasonable number of posts. You had last posted about 2 and a half hours after the phase had begun and had then have chimed in with a flurry of defensive posts (and recently some better offensive posts) here in the final two hours. Id say you are edging now into active poster territory but hesitate to say for a fact you would have done so without a case against you.

Of the four top votes in question, I think L_P and Terra are somewhat more suspicious than Melon and Hyper.

I actually am not getting too strong of scum vibes from Hyper. Hyperactivity has been active and involved in ironing out the problems of Kawl's peek strategy. I actually have more doubts about Kawl than Hyper at the moment, but I can save that for Day 2.

A Terrabyte lynch feels based solely on Terra being a low-activity poster, who has mostly been coasting by and making the bare minimum amount of posts.

I don't really like L_P's activity so far, but it looks like the votes have focused on Hyper and Terra, so I think the momentum is moving towards one of those two as I write this post. If I have to chose between those two, I suppose I will vote for Terrabyte.

The game setup already encourages activity so I don't see why that has so much value. We should be focusing on information, and I think Hyper's lynch will yield more info than Terra's. Even if this is now a tie it's gonna get RNG'd, so this isn't such a bad vote.

Despite agreeing that associating myself with melon is probably a bad idea, I think I'm sticking with L_P. He couldn't come up with great reasons to justify the 3 "most scummy" players in his list, which retroactively made it seem rather forced. His "not a good look" deflection to my own post also seemed vague and typical of someone trying to intimidate - you don't get to invalidate a point by pointing at who's making it and then trying to apply it to them. Also, making a vote is hardly indicative or conservative/non-conservative play. It's just... play.

I'm not trying to intimidate or deflect. I would've pointed out your post whether or not you voted for me. You're basically a new player still catching up, and you suddenly just drop a vote late in the day when the vote is contested. It seems... irresponsible to me.

This is true, but I feel the most effective cop play remains the same as always: sift through the townies, hiding them in your gut reads, townie lists, etc, until you find a scum.

If you find scum N1, breadcrumb it, but maybe confirm another townie N2 (although with the high chance of us having an SK, this might be overly dangerous)

Yes peeks work best if everyone will get on board but I had trouble believing that would be the case given that it's never been brought up. The larger number of peeks the better.
