Shields yes. Scherzer probably not since he is a Boras client. Some execs think he wont sign until March.

Betts for Hamels would be terrible for Boston. The guy was 21 year old and put up a 130wRC+ this year, it's closer to 150 if you count August through September when he was given a full time role.
