Now the Giants are grabbing powerhouse players. Man the NL West will be a battle next year.
Yonder Alonso is going to play 1st for the Padres according to Twitter.
Pads just need Cashner to stay healthy and they have a legit shot at the division and a WC.
What a turnaround from a week or so ago.
Oh thank goodness.5:37pm: Reliever Hunter Strickland would not be a part of the return to Miami if a deal is struck
I ain't even mad:
Oh thank goodness.
The Braves offense and defense in 2015 is going to suuuuuuuucccccckkkk.
Heh. He had potential, buuuuuut he sucks and has a bad temper (imo).
It might be a bit too early to talk about him sucking/horrible temper. If his struggles continue into the next year I'd be willing to agree with you, but for now I think it had the potential to be a valuable learning experience for him.
Hey!You're replying to Duff. You either suck or you don't. ;P
7:08pm: Giants assistant GM Bobby Evans said that the deal is not yet done in an appearance on Yahoo Sports Talk Live (via Alex Pavlovic of the Mercury News, on Twitter). He added that the MiLB players who have been named in the media are not involved in the trade.
Fuck you.Prado traded? Opens the door for a Brandon Phillips trade.
How are The Padres making more moves than The Yankees.
Max Fried is the best prospect in that batch, but he also just had Tommy John surgery like 2 months ago, so don't get too excited, methinks.
But they weren't 7-9 years old than him when they had their first TJ surgery. Not sure what their current age has to do with anything.
Just accept it buddy. It's gonna happen eventually.Fuck you.
Gotta be the Padres.Highest bid for Jung-Ho Kang is $5,002,015. His team in South Korea accepts the bid so we wait to see who won the right to negotiate with him.

You hate the way stadium financing tends to screw communities.
You hate the way community politics can roadblock reasonable policy debate.
:\
Go Rays!
Gotta be the Padres.
Kang, 27, put up huge numbers this year in the Korean Baseball Organization (1.198 OPS, 40 home runs, in 117 games), which is considered much more hitter-friendly than even the Pacific Coast League.
That and the ball is tampered with too.impressed deflated
kang seeking 2/12 4/20 type contract?
They're probably working the phones to trade Petco staff right now.Did AJ Preller go to sleep? There hasn't been a Padres trade all day.
Nope.gifJust accept it buddy. It's gonna happen eventually.

Going to be weird seeing Corey Hart in a Pirates jersey..
Some crazy news on former first round pick Ryan Bolden, such violence and needless loss of life.

$5m fee is pretty cheap for a guy who is only 27 even if those numbers are significantly inflated. If you put up something resembling that at AAA, there's pretty high expectations.
