Soo far I lied...Swisher bases loaded.... 45-45
The old White Sox bullpen meltdown. They can breathe life into a team that looks like mailing it in.
NL Central going to be crazy the next few days with the Reds playing the Pirates and the Brewers playing the Cards
Any four of those teams have a shot at the division
Giants fans, your team is winning! Come back! Come back!
I'm gonna be an Angels fan just to spite the A's.....and the Dodgers. It's perfect.

After 2002? Shameful!
The ballpark's still selling out despite the losses. And they're on time to boot!

I'd even say that San Francisco is the best baseball town in California. Can a Californian confirm or deny that casual observation?
Mets, winning?
You'd be hard pressed to find a fan after the All-Star break during one of their off years
Think they already have.So when do Baseball America/MLB.com/Keith Law release their mid-season prospect rankings?

Homer Bailey is the fucking worst
http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/homer-bailey-and-his-peers/I'm still mystified by his contract. Are there advanced metrics that show his true value, or was $105 million or whatever it was simply the going rate of a pitcher of his caliber?
Basically, they paid market rate for a pitcher who wasn't a free agent yet and based the contract on one really good year of performance.Given what we know about Bailey and about what the free agent market just said about good-not-great hurlers with some inconsistencies in their track records, this feels like a pretty steep price to pay, however. Maybe it was the best path forward for the Reds, but I wonder if in a years time, they dont look back and wonder why they paid $100 million for their above average starter when everyone else was paying $50 million for theirs.
