Remember last year Game 1 vs. the Cards?
How about 2.0?
Should have fired Donnie after 2013 but here we are.
Can't deny it was a shit move by Mattingly. Righties 0 for infinity with 9Ks against Kershaw, take him out with a righty up and bring in a guy who could not have telegraphed his 3-1 and 3-2 pitches more if he tried.
And yet people will lord that over Kershaw like it's his fault they lost and the stupid narrative continues.

Not sure if you're joking or you have no idea what you're talking about?

The thought that Clayton Kershaw cannot pitch in the post-season is idiocy. Pure and simple.
He can certainly pitch. But he's mediocre at best in the post-season.
Yes, four hits, none to RHH, one hanging ball and a couple questionable walks (the second was a K) is the epitome of mediocrity.

But he's like so bad.He struck out 11 batters and almost got 21 outs. He pitched pretty well.

If deGrom gets through the 7th unscathed, the Mets win Game 1.
So? He filled up the bases in the 7th? The type of 7th innings were he usually blows up. At least Donnie took him...so I don't have to witness his usual facepalm after blowing up the game.
At least we got Baez to do it, although it's not his first time either.
