I guess the Met are going to be our kryptonite this season... Both times we have gotten hot we have ran into the Mets, and have blown a lead late during the first game of the series.
Going just on the bitching here, it seems like Gee is the worst starter and he blanks us for most of the game, and one of the worst hitters (Murphy) hits a 3 run shot in a pitcher's ball park. :/
Was still nice to see Cosart have a solid 8 innings though. Hopefully we can get a win tomorrow.

Royals bats have looked great all night. Starting pitching was shaky as usual, but we've got the pen working it now.
What the hell does a five game suspension really mean to a pitcher? Right after his start, Volquez dropped his appeal. He'll miss no scheduled starts...maybe one day of extra rest?

he loses 5/162 of his pay for the year... that is about it with a 5 game on a starting pitcher. it's why typically when they want to actually punish them they get 7+
