MLB 2015 Regular Season |OT| Pickin' Up the Pace of Play

I don't understand how they always shit the bed in Tampa... It's gotta be the sight lines I guess? Cause that park is pretty hitter friendly.

Tampa has Jim Hickey.

He knows exactly how to keep the Jays' hitters under control.

If Estrada goes into the 9th with a no-hitter/perfect game I will put on the game at work. No fucks will be given.

Buck Martinez, saying Jim Joyce calling that brah safe in Armanda Galaraga's should've perfect game, one of the greatest moments in baseball?

Buck Martinez has always been, and always will be, incredibly stupid. Two games ago he spent a whole inning complaining about pitch counts and insisting that pitchers are more effective when they're tired.

Makes me happy to have Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez/Ron Darling to listen too.

Only because the Blue Jays are retarded and didn't start Estrada for the first month.

I mean not really. Other than these past two absurd starts he's been right about his career numbers.

Average. High FIP, high xFIP, ERA+ at 100.

Average.

i'm not sure I would bring Marco back for the 9th. he gave up a couple deep fly outs and a blast that went just foul last inning. not a good sign for him considering his homer rate.

looooooooooooooooool I'm a mests fan son. I'm just boycotting the team until everybody gets fired.

Sounds like a good strategy. I just drink and try to laugh about it.

For anyone who didn't see it. Adam Eaton hits a sinking line drive to short. Ball is dropped, Eaton stops. Jogs to first, 1B missed the base. Eaton stops again and walks to the base and is out by a step.

Martinez and Tabler are terrible.

I think you only fully appreciate how awful they are when you have to listen to them every day. Martinez gets really excited by every single fly ball (plus he's defiantly old school when it comes to pitch counts), and Tabler's description of how much he loves players and their "big, strong hands" often borders on pornographic.

Estrada is the first pitcher since Dave Steib(1988) to have two consecutive starts with a no hitter taken into the 8th. Both by Blue Jays pitchers.

And they always talk about the same crap whenever facing certain teams. Every single time. Like the Rays for example. They get boners over their young pitching, and talk about it in every game in the series.

The Nationals booth is by far the worst though. When Bryce Harper went onto his tear in May and slugged like 1.500, Carpenter said it's insulting to call it a hot streak, it's just Harper coming into his own.
Heck local broadcasts are so bad that even blowhards like Michael Kay are considered to be above-average.

Hawk Harrelson falls into his own category though, that would be too easy.

They do drool over the Yankees anytime the Jays have a series against them.
