I'm not really opposed to it, but there's something to be said for the skills involved in learning an ump's strikezone (assuming it's actually consistent), and also pitch framing. Taking those elements out of the game isn't necessarily a good thing.
We already have reply, we've modernized enough for the next 20 years.
It would also be like the NFL getting rid of the Chain gang and just using the lines on TV.

Automatic strike zones are idiotic. Because they are gonna be standardized. People will learn to game the machines instantly.
