Chipper Jones

Johan Santana

chipper is an easy call.

Santana i think is a very very sad case.

one or two more years without his arm falling off he would no doubt be in... as it stands to me it could go either way, though i would imagine he doesn't quite make it.

Definitely doesn't deserve to be in anything other than our own club HOF, but goddamn he's eligible already? Time flies.

what about Geoff Blum :p

to be fair the only reason I remember him is for his single at bat during the 2005 world series.

:p

to be fair scotty pods did the same thing but he had multiple ws at bats

to be fair more people might know him from being married to Lisa Dergan than his baseball though.

Windu

never heard about the cat, apparently

More details about the cardinals / astros hacking scandal.

ban the cardinals from baseball
Wow. I wasn't aware of this.
former Cardinals scouting director is serving a 46-month sentence in federal prison after pleading guilty in January 2016 to five counts of unauthorized access to a protected computer.
Baseball spygate. Cardinals org should definitely get some sort of league punishment.

Hammer comes down on the Cards
MLB reaches decision on hacking scandal: #STLCards must award top two picks (Nos. 56, 75) to #Astros and pay $2M fine to HOU as well.
Pick 56 in last year’s draft was assigned value of $1,141,600. Pick 75 was $851,900. 2017 values will be added to #Astros’ pool.
Former Cardinals scouting director Chris Correa given a permanent suspension by MLB.

Any seat recommendations for Citi? Looking to go to a Mets game this year. This will be the first game I've ever been to, so not too concerned about price. Right now looking at 121/114, or maybe something up at 414/413. Are these seats any good?

That...isn't as bad as I thought.

I'm guessing Correa was proven to have acted alone, but I don't think that was harsh enough.

All these seat r good man. Citi has such great views all around.

We got off way too easy with that punishment. Hardly seems like a hammer. We had a great draft last year, and the draft was already kind of shot this year, so we should have had to give more money at least.
if you really wanted to punish the Cards they should have been banned from signing or drafting any white players for 5 years.
I mean, I think our 40-man roster is projected to be roughly 50-50 in white/non-white breakdown this year. I think that puts us at least within distance of league average, considering the 25-man roster average at least was 60% white last year.

Should've taken our 13th round pick in 2019, that's where our next MVP candidate will come from

Mostly, I feel kinda bad for the rest of the AL West. The picks shouldn't be given to the Astros, just taken away period. The Rangers, Mariners, As, Angels didn't do anything.

Yep, glad the Astros aren't a division rival any more. Sucks to be the other AL West teams.

Are there any more QO players worth signing this offseason? Might as well go for broke lol.

Atlanta Braves infielder Sean Rodriguez and his family are recovering after police say their SUV was hit by a man who had stolen a Miami police officer's cruiser.

News outlets report that 31-year-old Miami native Sean Rodriguez, his wife Giselle and their two young children were T-boned by the stolen cruiser Saturday afternoon in Miami-Dade County.

The unidentified suspect was killed in the crash, as the police car was engulfed in flames.

Rodriguez was not hurt, but the other members of his family were hospitalized. Rodriguez's wife was listed in fair condition Sunday, and their 2-year-old and 8-year-old children were in serious but stable condition.

Rodriguez played the past two seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He signed with the Braves in November.
