MLB 2016 Regular Season |OT2| - ASMR Edition ...with Ketchup

because some Sportsnet sponsored shill decided to 'call out' Odor yesterday for some reason, probably insecurity and wanting to reignite a dumb rivalry

So do GTA sports fans take local sports radio and tv people seriously?

Can't imagine anyone in LA listening to Fred Rogin or anything.

to be fair, pitchers always get injured. most of the mets problems were predictable.

No they don't. This "pitchers are always going to get hurt" thing is a myth. Pitchers get hurt because they are taught bad mechanics and nobody fixes them. The issue with Matz, for example, is that he got bone spurs and instead of being allowed to rest his arm or get surgery early, he was forced to pitch through it.

While pitching through it he altered his mechanics to deal with the discomfort, which strained his shoulder.

Pitchers can very easily have long, productive, injury free careers.

it's not a myth at all. obviously saying they "always get hurt" was an exaggeration, but young pitching shouldn't be built around because it's way too hard to predict which ones will actually stay healthy, let alone good. it's not about mechanics, it's about the human body not being built to withstand the violence of pitching. it's almost always a bad idea to take pitching high in the draft.

Christian Yelich is having a really great year. I can't believe we signed long term for so cheap.

Oddly enough Jose Urena sort of reminds me of Anibal Sanchez. I feel like if he can continue to work on control, he can be a solid innings eater.

Ugh the Nationals gonna wipeout the last couple days progress if the Mets dont show thats why the sweep would have been a nice bump

Doesn't help with the fact that the coaches make kids throw really hard to impress scouts in high school. Average velocity of fastball been up for the last 10 years.

If you close your eyes and listen to deGrom describe his issues, word for word you could replace it with what Harvey said to begin the year.

We toast.
