Now hopefully the Astros don't suck today

ALVAREZ. WOW :D :D

He's a streaky hitter. When he's on, he's pretty damn amazing with his power, and when he's off, you damn near want to send his ass back to the minors. Although I have noticed that his plate discipline has improved considerably through out the season.

Edit: Unfortunately for us, the 5th inning is around the time Wandy seems to give up a HR. He has a knack of allowing long pop flys, and it's only a matter of time before someone gets enough lift on one to send the ball packing.

FG added some new stats today.

Leaderboard

not too surprising, Durbin is among the leaders (reliever) in FDP-Wins (FDP-Wins (Fielder Dependent Wins) – This is the full difference between RA9Wins and WAR, or BIPWins + LOBWins.)

edit: also inside the book blog post about it http://www.insidethebook.com/ee/ind..._fwar_and_rwar_for_pitchers_now_on_fangraphs/

Astros have a RISP with no outs.

Let's see how they spectacularly fail this time!

[edit]

Oh my, Wally with a hit to score a run.

Nice outing by Harvey considering he didn't have his best stuff.
Code:
Pitchers	IP	H	R	ER	BB	SO	HR	PC-ST	ERA
M Harvey	6.1	6	2	2	2	6	0	98-68	2.76

Hey Mets you could use another run here.
