I'm still surprised the Nats won in extra innings. I was not expecting that at all. I hope this team makes a lot of moves this offseason. Soriano's untuck has been fun but holy hell he needs to go. Put Clippard in that role. We need a first baseman who can hit. We need a leadoff hitter. We need a bench. We need a few bullpen arms. We need a new manager. Oh well. I wouldn't mind taking the game tomorrow so I remember what it feels like to take a series from the Braves.

Man, that was almost our 3rd blown game in a row. We could've been riding a hot streak! At least we're scoring runs now but it's too late in the game. Ah well, I'll keep watching because it's baseball!

Was at the casino last night during the game and got yelled at at the roulette table for having my phone out to post my undying love for Cabrera. So I'm posting that now. Incredible. Too bad he isn't healthy right now and too bad we don't have the division sealed up, and too bad he's in a triple crown race. He needs to be put on the DL but he's not having any of that. There's been several singles he's had that could've been doubles, and a couple of outs that should have been singles but he's running on half a leg and a broken body. :(

Just swing for the fences big guy.

The Mets have recalled RHP Greg Burke from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Burke is 0-2 with a 4.66 ERA in 28 games in two separate stints with the Mets this season.

To make room on the active roster for Burke, the Mets placed RHP Jenrry Mejia on the 15-day disabled list with a bone spur in his right elbow.

Terry Collins said today it was possible Mejia could have surgery soon to remove the bone chips in his elbow, rather than waiting until the end of the year.

If he does have surgery, Mejia would miss the rest of the year.

That's a shame, but it may be the best so he can get a jumpstart on rehab and the like. He's definitely locked and loaded for a rotation spot next year.

At least Morton is pitching well now. Makes up a bit for Locke's hardcore regression lmao. We need Wandy back :( Isn't he supposed to get in a minor league rehab start or two before its season ends?

Im starting to think he isnt coming back. Its August 18th, we know for a fact he isnt coming back before September. I dont believe there is anything even set up for rehab starts. Pretty sure last thing i read he threw 25 half powered fastballs and changeups

Considering Pirates are about to make their 1st playoffs in 2 decades and first .500 it should be Pirates related. Also headcount on how many of mlb-age was born after oct 1992 and wasnt even alive the last time we were in the playoffs. If thing would of went on we might of reached double digits :(
