We didn't even get to see what Cain could do against JDS in their first fight. We saw what Bigfoot has for Cain and it ain't much. A flash KO is far different from a systematic dismantling and beatdown.

Lets also not forget that Bigfoot did not even look all that great in the Reem fight aside from the final 15 seconds. He's gonna get that work again. UFC matchmakers are idiots.

So it's real?

They decided they are just gonna throw Silva under the bus once again, hoping that Cain will look unbeatable right after the next contender is born out of the other heavyweight fight in the same card.

It makes sense that it's in the same card, the narrative will be established there and then. It's do or die for Overeem, and I don't think he has much of anything for Dos Cantos.

Frankie Edgar fans should push for MMA in the Olympics. Then they can watch dudes play tag and pump their jab at the pressure sensors in their opponent's headgear to win on points.

Just playing devil's advocate, comrade. Despite of all your valid points, the PPV will still sell well.

Pretty clear that the UFC just needs a warm body to churn out another PPV while they wait for the winner of JDS vs. Reem to earn a title shot based on their one fight win streak.

Can you imagine the meltdowns if Cain gets finished by Bigfoot? and Overeem fights Bigfoot for the title?

Cain vs Silva II probably gonna end faster than I, same winner.

Reem vs Junior is a KO victory for Junior. Reem ain't that hot without horse meat.

Bigfoot kinda deserves the title shot the most and I'm glad JDS-Overeem happens before some turd like Big Country is given a shot at touching Overeem's bloated jaw and inevitably succeeds.

Based on their last fights, JDS looked faaaaar worse than Overeem had in years. I really was very surprised how hard he gassed in the first round....and people say Overeem gasses.

This fight won't leave the 2nd round.

It is definitely plausible that Overeem would maul Bigfoot on a rematch, but let's not get too attached to hypothetical scenarios friend. Remember when people said that Little Frankie's win over BJ was a fluke and he would get destroyed in a rematch?

I think you are using the term destroying a little loosely amigo. What world do we live in that uninspired 10-9 rounds with no damage are considered destroying. Bigfoot had momentum going into round 3 when he realized Reem had nothing on his punches at the end of round 2.

who's vilifying Canister for being a roider? i thought he was ridiculed for being a marginal fighter who internet fanboys hyped up for beating up cans in fixed fights in Japan, K1, and other mediocre mma promotions.

edit:
i suppose its more difficult w/Canister to remove him from steroids discussion because
1) he's tested positive for performance enhancing drugs
2) a large part of his appeal is tied to his chemically enhanced comic book appearance. Vince McMahon, Uncle Fester, and Joe Ham-n-Egger love the big steroid dudes.
