Yeah i was gonna share my stories with you guys of my experience when the UFC was in LA during the first Fox show before I got banned... Ended up with a friend sitting at a table in the Marriott bar shooting the shit with Sean Shelby and Malki Kawa, Malki ended up making his case to us on why he is the best manager in the biz and it took until fucking 4:30am (it was pretty interesting though) met the Reem the same night along with a shitload of other fighters, and then at the after party saw Jonnybones roaming around quite tipsy, noted family man and aspiring politician Chris Lytle getting friendly with young girls who were not married to him (guess that means he's cut out for for the politicking thing) and lots of other shit that I forget the specifics about now, 3 months later and shit... anyways, it feels good to be back..
anyways, who wants to go to Atlanta for Suga vs JBJ? I'm thinking of going, tickets to the event will be pretty cheap in relative terms... I don't want to do Vegas anymore at the same prices if they're gonna keep watering down the cards like they have been.

Oh and also, I'm firmly in the "Fuck Conduit" camp. That shit wasn't fighting IMO. Nobody I know wants to see that shit. I also don't know who the hell this "Condit" guy you all have started talking about is. And it's not that I'm clamoring for the STANDANDBANG shit, I want to see fighters in the Octagon fighting, not trying to edge the other guy on points while retreating. Conduit barely displayed any desire to finish that fight or any aggression whatsoever.. It was almost like I was watching this:

I just sent a message to my buddy who is in the Philippines right now telling him that we're going. I've been getting the itch really bad recently to see an event and with them being 4 hours (according to Google Maps, probably make it in a bit over 3 the way my buddy drives), now seems like the best time.
Mir and Cain should be interesting. I know that Mir has been working on his standup the last couple years (but it still isn't THAT great, he's no JDS) and I've never considered Cain to have much power in his fists. I'd like to see if go to the ground, because I have no opinion on whether Cain's wrestling or Mir's jits is better. I'm looking forward to this one.

I've always told people that if I go see I live event, I'm getting some expensive, good seats. But me being without a job right now, it's going to be hard enough to convince my wife that I need to go. I might have to settle for middle of the line seats.

Does Sugar Cain really have better boxing or standup than Frank? I'm not so sure.
Frank has faced some common opponents of Sugar Cain and fared better. I know MMA math isn't always the best, but I think Cain would be wise to wrestle and GNP Mir. Standing he could get dazed and then submitted.

In the same situation, Cain would've finished Mir. Hell he was basically finished.
most likely, but I'm just saying Sugar Cain's mythical stand-up skills are in large part due to his fights with Zombie Nog and Brock. Prior to those fights most people referred to him as "pillow fists" or something close.

Mir should take this. I can't wait for the Sherdog meltdowns if Mir wins. Cain's stand up is overrated based on common opponents. It might even be wise to throw down some $$$ on Mir because I see him being the underdog by a large margin.

Was it the Ben Rothwell fight? I remember being pretty skeptical of Cain's power during that one.
But then again, maybe Ben Rothwell just has an amazing chin. Upon watching that fight again real quick on youtube, it seems like none of Cain's punches did shit to him.

IF they are going to keep the 10point per round base system..How would everyone feel about the round by round score being either:
1. shown publicly in between rounds or
2. being told to each corner in between rounds but not broadcast in any way.
Would this help clarify where an athlete is in a point scoring setting and help eliminate the confusion to the fighters and corners..
Or would it just be abused by those ahead to avoid engaging and running out the clock.
Would implementing a strict yellow card system for those in the lead that avoid engagement be enough to offset concerns?

Naw, he probably means Kongo. Kongo dropped Cain multiple teams, whereas Mir dropped Kongo.
I think Mir has better power, but Cain has the more complete striking technique. Either way, it must be acknowledged that neither exactly has a cast-iron chin.
Nah, I can't see Mir getting higher than the +100's. If it does I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat. It's a closer fight than that.
Where would we be without Chamber's consistent voice of reason? Mir couldn't even keep up with Zombie Nog's hand speed.

Yeah I see that Sugar Cain vs Mir fight as being a pick em honestly. If they fought 10 times they'd probably be 5 and 5.
