ksw cards are good for all the wrong reasons, extremely high production values for an eastern european outfit, polish hip hop, and hot polish women.

Off-topic

I guess I am no longer friends with that porn chick. BF got mad because I told her to follow me back on twitter and she sent a text saying we can't be friends anymore.

Now back to on-topic.

I want to make the OT for a card where any Diaz fights on it.

charlton heston gif needs to be in the OT3 OP

I want to incorporate all the MMA-GAF favorites into a marquee for the OP, but I don't think I have the skills. Who's our resident Photoshop expert?

Have them all mirrored on each side, converging on a giant head of Denzel Washington.

Not until everyone agrees that Rush is a blight on the sport. That right there illustrates how far apart we are on a philosophical level.
I agree with you.. GSP and everyone who employs similar tactics like Conduit. It's not the specific people that are a blight to the sport, it's the mentality of trying to win a fight by not fighting.

i'm glad there is another person who revels in the barbarism of the sport and wants to have his bloodlust satiated by 2 guys with no education or employable skills facing off in the octagon. i felt like i was alone.

We need a crusade to put the Fighting back into the UFC.

As much as I have dirty Sanchez, i really appreciated him coming out and fighting like hell in that 3rd round. he knows he was down 2 rounds to 0 at that point, and went out and tried to win the fight. too many times you see guys go out there and are content to lose a decision or coast by.

Condit has finished everyone not named Ellenberger and Nick Diaz, two guys who have been finished a combined 2 times out of 67 total fights.

It's pretty amusing to think Condit would be getting more respect by some if he had gone in there and gotten slapped against the cage the whole fight.

Conduit has had 2 of 33 fights go to a decision. You know exactly what I'm getting at.

not in the slightest bit. I was criticizing the tactics Conduit employed in one specific fight and was also careful to point out that it was the tactics which I was in disapproval of. I don't give a shit about what he did in his other fights, it doesn't mean he actually fucking RAN at times and was refusing to engage for damn near his whole fight with Diaz. IMO it was almost as bad as Quarry vs. Starnes, and Starnes was cut from the UFC for what he did in that fight. Conduit was hoping to win on the cards by not fighting. and he did.

I don't even have a problem with fights going to decision. Some guys are tough as nails and hard to put away. Look at the beating Fedor put on Nog in their first fight. It's all about the intent in my opinion. Was Conduit trying to finish that fight at any point? Hell No. Carlos Conduit's entire game plan against Diaz was to take it to the judges and win by points. The game plan he employed was very uncharacteristic for him.

And even since this is Conduit's first time offense, I'm willing to give him a pass, the prime culprit is his camp mate GSP.

and you disingenuous fucks quit comparing what Conduit did in the Diaz fight to Ali.

bish gets all the credit :)
There is a GSP like decision and there is a Hendo/Shogun like decision. Condit's performance was in the GSP range.

How did Ali win all those decisions by running and circling away? What a point fighter. He should've banged in the pocket like a man.

You guys don't 'want to engage in the comparison because you know it's true. Not everyone is a Mike Tyson. Can you handle it?

I think it's an apt comparison, my good friend. Like the Rumble in the Jungle, Condit let Nick tire himself out and knocked him out once Nick was on empty.

MMA is not boxing. Some versions of Boxing such as the Olympic flavor are ALL ABOUT SCORING POINTS. We all know MMA's origins. MMA is about fighting, or at least that's how it was originally envisioned. It should be about two fighters trying to finish each other, not about scoring points by lightly tapping your opponent and running away.

The comparison doesn't work in this regard. Boxing has a long history of point fighting, MMA doesn't.

I would say Tyson is like shorter Diaz. Fighting against a bunch of scrubs and when he has to fight someone that is half way decent he loses. YEAH I WENT THERE BITCHES>

Maybe you should complain about Diaz. The only decent offensive flurry was a slap and body slaps against the cage. Condit was actually trying to kick the guy in the head or a spinning back fist in the head. Diaz is also the one who went for a takedown like a bitch late in the fight.

Exactly. Diaz fans are such hypocrites.

I still think you guys put way too much stock in ineffective flashy techniques that don't land.

i think a better fight, but it was a similarly scored decision was the Ross Pearson vs Edson Barboza. Pearson was the aggressor all fight, I personally think he landed more shots, but I'd have to check a fight metric to be sure, but I felt after the fight he won. Barboza throws a bunch of ineffective flashy techniques that didn't land in the fight, but everyone was jizzing their shorts over him.

Don't get me wrong the Barboza/Pearson fight was way better than the Diaz/Conduit fight, because they actually fought.

OMG I know, he was even going for multiple submissions like an absolute pussy once he got Conduit on the ground. Diaz has such a LnP grappling style, no desire to finish.

your guy's hate of Nick Diaz is so strong that you've somehow convinced yourself that was a great fight from Conduit. The hyperbole is so out of control that we are now comparing Conduit to GOAT Ali. This is the highest of comedies.

Your love for Nick Diaz is so strong that you somehow convinced yourself that walking slowly towards someone and not landing anything while constantly getting tagged in the head and body wins a fight.

The comparison is styles, not greatness. Ali won and finished people going backwards all the time. Hell, even Ali's famous "phantom punch" was a counter on his bike.

I said Condit won, not that it was a "great fight." Yet Diaz fans actually want to see a rematch. Go figure.

He won CompuStrike and won the fight. Please shut the fuck up with this crap, seriously. It's the highest of comedies that people can complain about how Condit won because Diaz didn't do jack shit.

Motherfucking this. So let's assume that Condit wasn't trying to KO Diaz.

Using that exact same logic, tell me how Diaz was trying to finish the fight with his zombie strut around the ring. With a straight face.

It's not his fault! Diaz tried to press him against the cage and finish him, but Condit wouldn't let him, that coward!

I'm not disagreeing that he won the fight based on the unified rules, I just don't like how he did it.

I for one cannot wait for the glorious return of Georges Rush St. Pierre to the classy sport of mixed martial arts. His athletic competition with the Natural Born Killer Carlos Condit will be a match for the ages. I don't think the UFC has had such an exciting title match since Anderson Silva vs Thales Leites or Tim Sylvia vs Andrei Arlovski 3. The fight will be so great, I highly doubt anyone is going to have to apologize for their performance after the match. I cannot wait for the 25 minutes of chess.

It's gonna be a dogfight.

I forget the part where Conduit KO'd Diaz. The picture of course being from their 2nd fight.

I guess we could go on pretending that going backwards and circling out to regain the center of the ring is an invalid strategy in combat sports employed by one of, if not the greatest boxer of all time. It is very Starnes-like and never finishes fights.

Good talk.
