It's a shame if Rampage quits the UFC.

Even though his performances were meh, he's still a great showman. It does a good job promoting MMA, and he's definitely the more human and fun fighter around.

And of course, once we make enough money from BAD-MMA, we can open up CLASSY-MMA

Learning from the best, Randy has taught us all well.

Hail to the KING baby
KJ Noons admitted to the same thing on last week's Inside MMA. He said if the UFC would pick him up they wouldn't even have to pay him because he could live off all the FoTN and KOoTN bonuses.

I thought all the SF guys were insanely overpaid. Or maybe he means once his SF contract is up?

The way he explained it, his major factor for wanting to be in Strikeforce when he signed with them was they'd let him continue to box professionally. When Zuffa took over SF he was no longer allowed to do that. So he says if he's not gonna be allowed to box anymore he might as well be fighting for UFC instead of SF and he offered to fight for free if they'd take him but they turned him down anyway.

That's definitely the worst fight card I've ever seen.

Chamber, I think you mean one of the absolute best Bad MMA cards ever assembled, commentary included. Keep in mind this is the day after RFA 2 featuring the return of Mo Smith.

Ohhhh man I can't wait. Don Frye and Drew "4 straight TKO losses" Fickett at one event? With Paul Buentello on the undercard?! I'm gonna go sit in the nerd chat now so I don't miss anything. Bad MMA chats > UFC PPV chats

Whats going on with that Shamrock vs Toney fight that was announced like a year ago?

“I can guarantee you that as sure as night follows day, that not only is that fight never gonna happen, it never was. Ken Shamrock is going around to all these different promoters doing his typical scumbag move getting money up front saying, ‘You know, I’m a Hall of Famer and I don’t even know if you guys are going to exist, so give me a ten grand signing bonus.’

He takes their money, goes and blades himself in the back, or whatever make believe thing that guy does, won’t show up – guaranteed he won’t show up – keeps their ten grand and goes on to the next unassuming promoter. He’s not gonna fight James Toney anymore than you are. He never was. That fight won’t happen, mark my words.” - Chael Sonnen

Bendo is ducking Anthony Pettis:

Bendo said:
"Of course he's going to go out and say that stuff because he wants his guy to fight for the belt," Henderson tensely responded. "What did you have Jeremy Stephens ranked before the Anthony Pettis fight? Not in the top ten. What did you have Joe Lauzon ranked before his fight?

"Does someone who has a split-decision over someone who is not ranked, and then has a pretty good win against the No. 10 guy, is he deserving of a title shot because of those two wins? Or is he deserving of a title shot because he beat me last?"

And Dana said in the UFC on FOX 3 presser today that the winner of Nate/Miller is getting the next shot. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

K-1 NEVER DIE:

It's Showtime press release on their site said:
IT'S SHOWTIME closes deal with new K-1 organization.

March 6, 2012 -

With immediate effect, IT'S SHOWTIME closed a multi-year deal with the new owner of the K-1 label, Mr. Mike Kim. The company of Mr. Kim is called K-1 Global and is established in Hong Kong.

Even though this new company didn’t have any obligations towards our company and our fighters, K-1 Global has paid all of our fighters this week. This means that every fighter received a signing bonus which consists of 50% of the money that was still owed to them by the old company FEG.

K-1 will organize 4 big events already this year, including the final 16 and final 8 in the 70kg and heavyweight division. The bonuses the fighters can win will be astronomically high, but we leave it up to the company of K-1 Global to announce these amounts. We will also leave it up to them to announce the event schedule, but three weeks from now everything will be announced.

The following fighters have already signed a contract with K-1 on behalf of IT’S SHOWTIME: Daniel Ghita, Tyrone *****, Hesdy Gerges, Paul Slowinski, Rico Verhoeven, Anderson ‘Braddock’ Silva, Ben Edwards, Melvin Manhoef, Sergii Lashchenko, Mourad Bouzidi, Dzevad Poturak, Chahid Oulad El Hadj, Gago Drago and Andy Ristie.

Contracts which are ready to be signed with K-1 this week: Ruslan Karaev, Harut Grigorian, Chris Ngimbi, etc.

There have been several contracts signed with other big names in kickboxing, but these are not under contract with IT’S SHOWTIME, so we wait for K-1 Global to announce these names.

We are very happy with these positive developments in our sport and for all fighters in the world who now get the possibilities to show their talent in K-1.

YES. YES.

YES. YES.

There's been so many shady twists and turns with K-1 and FEG in the last year. I just hope this isn't another false start and we actually get to see some fights.

Also curious to see if Golden Glory is still "declaring war on K-1" or if it was just posturing to get paid. I guess we'll see in a few weeks.

This is a way better fight.

That's great -- that fight was so stupid in the first place. They probably realize it wouldn't hurt to have a clear contender after Rashad & Hendo, especially since Hendo is kind of a wild card.

Frankie doesn't want to get in the ring with Aldo. Has a better shot of getting his belt back.

Not to mention that fact that 155 still has way more visibility than 145, so more $$$$. I don't blame him in any way though Aldo-Edgar would be awesome. Maybe Aldo should come up, he's an oversized 145er anyway and that's why some of his recent fights have sucked.

Chamber

love on your sleeve
I know. I can't wait for all the haters to call Overeem a fraud after wins.

Well JDS never beat anyone besides Cain who never beat anyone besides Lesnar who never beat anyone besides Mir who is a glorified can himself so Reem is still a can crusher.

Frankie Edgar and Ben Henderson rematch will be this summer

God I just want Edgar out so we can stop having rematches, the most stacked division and he has to fight everyone twice.

And yes, this created controversy shit is getting old. Just because the favorite lost a close fight doesn't mean there has to be a fucking rematch over and over again. Obviously Edgar wanted this though, because Dana wanted to drop him down in weight and he refused.
